Kirk did a fabulous job mudding/sanding the drywall in the basement. A large room, hallway, closet and bathroom were finished in just under 3 days. A stellar job! Very professional and personable young man!

Company moved into new location on M59 (highland rd) next to dairy queen. Now constantly having nails and screws in tires due to company hauling loaded trailers onto street dropping loose nail/screws out. Have been constantly plugging tires including brand new tires. They should be emptying trailers prior to using street to back into drive or at minimum magnet to ensure not having a negative environmental impact on the residence on the street basically for their profit as we constantly repair tires. Never had issues prior to this company moving in. Not a single tire problem prior with AWS that was their prior. They also didnt bring loaded demolition trailers on the street.

12/05/2025 - Update on work: See photos of cracks after REPAIRS Warning Overpriced & Poor Quality Work I spent $5,000 on drywall repairs at my house and was charged $125/hour for two guys thats $250/hour even though one spent about half his time on social media. When I voiced my concerns to management, Sean came out to inspect the work after the crew left. He then sent another worker (Kirk) to fix what the first two had done. Kirk said he needed to go to Home Depot for materials, fixed a few spots, but left many areas untouched. I called the office, spoke with Lauren, and left a message for Sean to call me back. Still no response. The owner, Ron, was friendly when he came out before I hired them and promised theyd remove the old tape and use better tape for the seams. I never saw any rolls of tape they simply mudded over the existing tape, sanded, and primed. I regret not reading the many negative reviews from other customers beforehand. I do not recommend R & D Drywall. You can find better work for far less money. Mike I. If things were done correct, why do the photos tell a whole different story? The things I pointed out, obviously did not get fixed. Truly sad to spend that much money and not have things done right. You could not wait to put a lien, only to rescind it, you should have slowed your roll and tried sending someone more competent to deal w/ a homeowner in a professional manner. I had every intent to pay but was hoping to have professionals make repairs. No body rushed anyone, I merely asked them to work and spend less time on social media, perhaps then I would not have to babysit your employees for you. When I showed Sean the photos of disappoint, including the one employee scrolling thru social media, he absolutely did not care and did not seem bothered or perplexed by it.

We have hired R & D Drywall several times to do drywall repairs. Recently, we hired them to demo our popcorn ceiling and ceiling tiles. Every single person that was a part of the whole process was professional, polite, hard working and highly skilled. They were timely and well organized. They made what could have been a nightmare into a pleasant experience, from the owner, to the office manager, dry wall crew, electricians, plumbers, mudders, and painters to the trim and carpentry work. It all went smoothly and quickly. We couldnt be happier with the final results and highly recommend them.

Focus on the most current reviews - I wish I did. Drywall job was terrible at best, looks awful. They kept sending crews out to try to fix it but when the base work wasn't done well there's not much you can do. Yes, we let the company know and they told me that Shawn would call to discuss - that never happened. If you're looking for quality work, this ain't it.

Uriel, and his father were very efficient, professional and a pleasure to have working in my house. Installing a dust barrier, installing the drywall and leaving with everything done and cleaned up. Highly recommended!!!

I am beyond pleased with the work done. Terrances experience, patience, and detail oriented work definitely made my house look amazing. He had to fix ceiling repairs that were an eye sore from poor workmanship of other companies. The finish product has improved my house look 1000%. Thank you Terrance!

I would strongly encourage anyone considering using this company to think twice. They seem like a reputable company, but are quite the opposite. I contracted with them to repair some intricate crown molding in my historic home. He told me they "could" repair and told me about repairs they had done to a historic church in Pontiac and another historic building in Detroit. They sent a worker to make repair that they knew had a drinking problem. He botched the job. When I mentioned that I thought he smelled like alcohol, Sean said "that it was the second time this had happened with this person. He said his father, who is the owner of the company would come and fix it. The owner of the company came out to see the problem and was supposed to return to fix it, but never came back. Instead they sent others on two different occasions who lacked the expertise to fix the botched job. One even said he couldn't fix and left, but Sean brought him back and said he could. They each said that because the first guy had not done it properly in the beginning, there was little they could do to fix it. I was told by Sean, the owner's son who oversaw the project from the beginning, if they could not make it right that they would give me my money back. I texted Sean pictures of the botched job, left messages on his cell phone that I was not satisfied, and called the main office and left a message with Lauren for Sean to call me. He also said that he told me "they would do their best". He never said that. He said they "could" repair it. My last phone call to the office was in October 2024. As of this date, no one has responded to my texts or phone calls. I paid $2,100 to this company and now have pay someone else to do it right. Do not use them.

We hired R&D Drywall to finish a ceiling project in our kitchen and living room. Terrence came out to do the work and spent a long time making sure the job was done well. The drywall was hung by my husband and it needed a lot of attention to be blended in carefully. Terrence did a great job and the ceiling is so smooth and flawless. I had some questions after the second day of work and the company owner and Terrence didnt hesitate to answer questions and insisted on coming out a third day to do a few more spots that were not discussed in our original quote. They went out of the way to be sure we were happy with their work and we definitely were. Highly recommend this company.

Weve hired R&D for several projects now. Today they sent Terrance to us for some finish work in the kitchen. He did an amazing job, working around our two German shepherds and a busy lifestyle and I have to say this is the nicest work Ive seen yet. We are so excited at what an amazing job Terrance did. Uriel and Carlos just finished putting up the drywall for the finisher and I am very pleased. They were friendly and fast. So pleased I went with R and D Drywall. Have used them for years. Plus we just had Terrance (Drywall Finisher) who taped and mudded, etc. to finish the job and we were also very pleased. He has worked many years at his trade and it showed. He was very skilled. Clean up (what clean up) my home looked better than when he started.

After outsourcing R & D for a wide range of renovations projects, I have to give them 5 stars. Regarding the drywall design features I was looking for, Terrance did beautiful work merging my walls with my new interior doors achieving a minimalist casing-less surround. If you need an expert in detailed drywall transitions, I would highly recommend Terrance for his innovative way of problem-solving. His expertise clearly comes from his years of experience. Beyond drywall, we have had other R & D expert teams work in our home: demo crews, textured wall experts, painters, electrical team, and carpenters. What I like about R & D is that I call them and they provide and coordinate the right team(s) for whatever project we want to accomplish. It works out well for those who want to work on their home one project at a time while building a working relationship with a trustworthy team of building experts, all under one roof. We have relied on Ron and his team at R and D for multiple plaster repairs since 2001...this is an established, reliable company. Our most recent job was a large undertaking involving extensive "spider cracks" on both the walls and ceiling. I knew that I had to request Terrance for this project for his experience and knowledge of what needed to be done. He is a truly a skilled professional, and once again, I am so pleased with the result.
