Pulsar construction completed a full remodel of our master bathroom down to the studs. This included moving a wall to expand the bathroom, and repiping our whole upstairs (beyond the master bath) to replace the old, leak prone copper piping with PEX. Were so happy with the results - the level of craftsmanship from Pulsars work is top notch, and were reminded of that everyday when we use the bathroom. Further, we have peace of mind knowing that the work we cant see (behind the walls) was completed with the same level of quality. Something else which stood out about Pulsar is how they responded to an unforeseen issue which came up. They immediately took responsibility and resolved it. Having worked with numerous other contractors, I can confidently say this is not the norm. For all these reasons, Pulsar will be my go to contractor for future projects.

I highly recommend Pulsar Construction for home remodeling. Elena, Dimitri, and their crew were wonderful to work with. They remodeled my 1500-sq.-ft. house in Palos Verdes Estates in the second half of 2025. The remodel included a full kitchen, two bathrooms, fireplace tile, engineered hardwood flooring, molding, trim, window, interior paint, and washer/dryer installation. I originally found Pulsar on a Yelp search. I narrowed down my search to three remodeling companies that got excellent reviews on Yelp, including Pulsar. I also asked a client of mine whose home was recently remodeled beautifully who their contractor was, and they responded that it was Pulsar and recommended them. They said they were great to work with, on time, and on budget. I met with and got quotes from from Pulsar Construction as well as two other companies. I immediately liked Elena and Dimitri (General Manager and General Contractor, respectively) because they seemed very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I hired them because of this and because I loved the idea of having a woman (Elena) be my main point person through the remodel. (I had had a bad experience in a previous remodel with a male contractor who was dishonest and condescending to me as a woman.) I found Elena to be extremely knowledgeable, organized, cheerful, respectful, budget conscious, patient, and excellent at communication (prompt and thorough). Dimitri obviously takes great pride and accountability in his work. He explains the work and issues in detail, comes up with creative solutions to problems, and is happy to accommodate requests. Elena was great at working with PVHA (the home association) and the City to meet their specifications and secure permits and approvals. She also was good at calming me down when I got frustrated with the home association demands. Pulsar set me up with quality materials vendors, such as The Kitchen Store. I love my kitchen cabinet layout, design, and color. Elena also found me a reasonably priced store to order my new engineered hardwood flooring, Fancy Floors. Additionally, she worked with Universal Appliances, Seven Stones (for quartz countertops), Fancy Floors, and the Kitchen Store to secure deep contractors' discounts for me. The Pulsar construction crew was always respectful, considerate, and eager to help whenever I had a request or question. I would definitely use Pulsar in the future. When the project was done, I was thrilled with the results and strangely a little sad that I wouldn't be working with Elena anymore. You know a contractor does a fantastic job when you're sad to see them go!

I highly recommend Pulsar Construction for any construction project. Their sophisticated knowledge and expertise, professionalism, and creativity are of the highest caliber. My project was extensive, including the removal of a wall, creation of a vaulted ceiling, and demo and creation of a new kitchen. Therefore, I took significant time and care in selecting a construction team. After meeting with Elena and Dmitry, I was confident that Pulsar Construction was the perfect fit for me, and this decision was validated throughout the process. Dmitry, Elena, and the team were extremely professional and organized. They provided a schedule of the work to be accomplished and met with me to discuss every aspect of the project. They facilitated every step of the construction process. They obtained the required permits and promptly addressed any concerns from the city. Elena provided excellent references for cabinetry, tile, flooring, and appliances and set up appointments for me. Of course, I was given the flexibility to obtain products from a business of my choice; however, the references she provided were of the highest caliber. I particularly appreciated that Elena was always willing to meet me at the various businesses to help me select the materials and products. Her design and construction expertise were invaluable. One of the things that I most appreciated was the frequent communication. I was kept apprised of progress and next steps. Also, I received prompt responses to my calls or texts. I also appreciated the teams flexibility in working with me regarding my scheduling needs. Dmitrys and Elenas attention to detail and high standards of work were exemplary. They are hands-on, reviewing every task if the project. When they found a slight misalignment with the backsplash tile being installed, they had all of the tile removed and reinstalled so that it was perfectly aligned. They are perfectionists and treated my home as if it was their own. Any challenge was met with solutions. Dmitry was extremely creative in finding solutions for any challenge that arose. Through their professionalism, flexibility, ongoing communication, positivity, and extensive knowledge , the Pulsar team greatly minimized the stress of what could have been an overwhelming experience. I was so impressed by their work that I added several additional projects which they accomplished with expertise. Pulsar Construction is not only an organization of the highest caliber, but all members of the team are consistently pleasant, thoughtful, and caring. They did everything possible to assure that my vision for my home became a reality, which it certainly did. I highly recommend them and will definitely select them for any future projects. "Buyer beware before you consider Pulsar Construction in Torrance, CA"! On July 15th, 2025, I submitted a request for kitchen/bathrooms renovation on Pulsar's website (including my zip code - see attached photo) on my Fusion at Southbay home. The same same day, received a response from Elena (office manager) stating "we are booked until September 21st and not accepting new project but we will put you on our waiting list". "Our team will contact you in case of any cancellations". After patiently waiting, 2-1/2 months, on September 29th, I received an update from Elena stating "Good morning Jeff!!! We are looking for a new project starting in November. Please leave us a note with the property address and your email. We will reach out to you after 10/10". So I did just that only to receive an immediate reply "Unfortunately, we are unable to help you because your zip code 90250 is outside our service area". This was very disturbing as we've been waiting 2-1/2 months and if this was known, we would have contacted another construction company. I responded to Elena "that is interesting, my home is 6.5 miles from Pulsar and clearly within your service area, per your website map". Elena replied "we can't consider your project since it is territorially located in Los Angeles". I explained to Elena, this is absolutely false as my Fusion at Southbay home with Hawthorne zip code 90250 is an "incorporated" city in LA county, the same as Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa - in which my home literally borders MB/RB directly across Aviation Blvd. I then texted her all of the supporting screen shots (including map area of my home to Pulsar), Pulsar's website stating "We specialize in serving the SOUTH BAY of Los Angeles for 9 years". Elena, my home is in the "South Bay of Los Angeles. I requested to speak with the Owner only to be completely ignored by her going forward. In summary, my renovations would have been completed by now. I lost 3 months and have to start the entire process over again looking for another construction company. Again, potential customers - Beware of their misrepresentation and tactics!

During our home walkthrough, she was on time, professional, and helpful in immediately calling out suggestions or previous learnings from construction around the city that could bring risk to our desired timeline. We were so lucky to have found Pulsar Construction! We just finished a beautifully executed major renovation project including walls, floors and 2 bathrooms with this incredible team. From beginning, Pulsar team was knowledgeable, detail oriented and organized. Throughout our project, they maintained excellent work ethic by spending countless hours on site, staying in touch (almost daily) and sharing updates of completed work. After sharing my vision for the project Elena took great care of my wishes (she was really a customer advocate on construction site for me) in addition to helping us source local vendors (most of whom we used and loved). We also worked closely together to select materials, and it was so helpful to have a pro by my side for that - we made better decisions because of this! Dmitry is a constructor extraordinaries! He builds things to last. No joke! Our house will collapse before the bathrooms fall apart. Dmitrys attention to detail and precision made a huge difference in the final work. I consider myself a really picky person and I was so relieved to have his perfectionist finishing touches on our place. And our home looks amazing (the team literally performed surgery on our ceiling as it kept cracking from the heat of the summer.) Did I mention how awesome Pulsar Construction is? What are some of the most important things to look for when you hire a contractor? 1) quality of work, 2) honesty, 3) attention to detail. Pulsar construction delivered everything above plus some of the other qualities that you can rarely find when looking for a contractor. They have passion, they care about your family and your house like it's their own. They are honest, they will tell you exactly what you need and what you don't need but within the maximum willingness. Meaning, any kind of vision you have, they will do their best to make it come true, in a most efficient ways. Most importantly, their quality of work is absolutely the best. They are a family business of husband and wife, Elena is so great at communicating. She is also very knowledgeable about interior design aspect, she will give you all the wonderful tips beyond the remodeling. This is not my first time working with Elena and Dmitry of Pulsar Construction and there is definitely a reason I called them again. The first time my family worked with them was when they repaired my parents bathroom after there was water damage. They were thorough and timely. I was so impressed that I called Elena again when it was time for me to remodel my house. Again, Pulsar Construction far exceeded my expectations. Initially I called to remodel two bedrooms, one of which was to be converted to a nursery. I replaced the carpet with vinyl flooring, repainted, and tore down the old closet doors. Dmitry and his team also repaired the balcony and the wall damaged from a leaky roof. While going over the house we found a leaking pipe and Pulsar was able to upgrade the plumbing as well. I called them right before the holidays and they were able to start sooner than anticipated and they worked diligently to finish up in time for me to enjoy my new home before I had to return to work. They were so hard working and sometimes would work until 8pm. It was a joy working with them and I fully appreciate how well Elena communicated with me. I was updated at every step and I trusted them completely with my house. While I hope I wont need to remodel/repair my house for a while I know I wouldnt hesitate to call Pulsar Construction again and I have already started recommending them to my friends.
