Jiri and Alex and his team did excellent work painting the entirety of the interior of our 1901 row house in Chicago. We had three places with water damage from previous leaks which now look good as new. The previous owners left the walls in bad shape, nail holes and large gouges - those were all well-repaired and covered. After we accepted the estimate, Jiri came by to do a walk through to discuss the 12 different colors we had selected for the house. Jiri's estimate came in right in the middle of the three estimates we received, but my sense was that he was detail oriented and the team would do a good job. I'm very pleased we went with them and feel we got great value for what we paid.

Jiri responded to my Yelp request for a quote on an exterior smallish job painting galvanized steel canopies. He asked for an onsite consultation and submitted a quote within 2 days. A certificate of insurance was attached, which was a nice, reassuring touch. It was a good quote and included the primer and paint, and we accepted the offer and got favorable cash terms. At the designated time he and the actual painter arrives and set up ladders. The painter finished the scraping and caulking prep and primed the first day, applied the 1st coat of the high performance alkyd urethane enamel on day two ( just a few hours) and the 2nd coat on day 3. The work was done perfectly and neatly. I will use North Shore Painting and Restoration again, as I liked the professional approach and meticulous workmanship they provided.

The estimate was reasonable , very clear , detailed and explained what was going to be done and the type of paints which were going to be used . The work included caulking the exterior of home, painting wood trim ( exterior) , painting metal trim (exterior) and an interior drywall repair with painting a wall and ceiling. North Shore Painting with painters Gabriel & Jose, did a phenomenal job. My project involved two bedrooms that are original to the 1921 house. No rehabs over the many decades. Lots of stains, holes, uneven surfaces, gouged wood, baseboards separating from walls, etc. This was a hard job & took two days. The result was excellent. Additionally, Jiri was very easy to deal with. He would always respond in a timely manner to questions or concerns. His quote was also reasonable. Great to work with. The painters were very considerate & left my rooms clean. I can't say enough good things about them. They were just great! I have no hesitation at all in recommending this company. A few years back a hidden pipe in my wall leaked and created water damage to my downstairs neighbors wooden beam ceiling. After many searches, I found Jiri by chance. He was able to provide great consult to a fickle situation. The wooden ceiling was highly porous. He treated the ceiling and you would NEVER know any water damage had occurred. As a result, I needed to have my dry replaced and have my wall painted. Jiris crew was punctual , quick and efficient with the job. Phenomenal work. I knew then, with these two jobs, I would never even consider hiring anyone else for work in my home. Two days ago, he did more drywall repair, sanded walls, primed them and painted.
