I was in need of drywall installation and finishing for a room in my house after having the old plaster removed getting the wall cavities insulated. I ended up going with MA/Julio because he was very responsive for my quote request, reasonably priced, and none of the reviews I could find had anything negative to say about the quality of the work. I ended up purchasing the majority of the materials to be delivered, but Julio (and his helper) made quick work of installing, mudding, and sanding. They estimated the work would take a week, and the estimate was spot on. When there were some irregularities in the old framing work, Julio was able to adapt quickly and make the result look great. I unfortunately can't say this often with virtually any other contractor I've used, but without out a doubt I'll look forward to having MA Painting & Drywall for future projects. Lastly, not project related, but Julio was great with my dog - she was excited to see him every morning, and really wanted to play with him all week.

I confess to having some initial hesitation, as Julio's English was not that great. However he promptly answered my multiple phone calls, emails, and texts. More importantly, he clearly knows his stuff. He and a helper showed up today to paint my 10 x 10 kitchen, both ceiling and walls, which were mortar and plaster over lath; the house was built in 1945. They patched, degreased, primed, and painted. They obtained the exact color I wanted. He used a different primer than the one I originally thought I needed, because he knew the one I wanted would not be good on such old surfaces, and he was right. They were careful to put down painter's tape along edges around the windows to ensure that there was no paint spreading onto cabinets. Tarps were spread to protect appliances. Built up crud underneath the refrigerator was removed. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Julio had amazing communication and flexibility, came over on my schedule (including during a snowstorm!), and did an an amazing job repairing the drywall and painting the ceiling.
