I have always been the type who does everything I can myself. But I have recently been afflicted with some balance issues and cannot justify high ladder work anymore. I needed the facia and soffits all around my house sanded (old peeling paint) and painted. I contacted Jake and Jennifer who came promptly and viewed my situation and gave me a price. They arrived two days ago with an army of painters. Each painter quickly jumped straight to his duty, placing drop canvas, sanding, scraping, caulking and painting. The all worked quickly and efficiently. Their attention to detail was far better than if I had been able to do it myself. In three hours they had finished. Everything was cleaned up and they disappeared. Everyone was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. A very good experience. Thanks Jake and Jennifer.

Jakes team did a great job. They showed up at the crack of dawn and painted everything by 1 PM - soffits, eaves, windows, doors, shutters, and the parts of my outdoor screened in deck I cant reach. 9 guys on the team and I cant find a single drop of paint spilled where it isnt supposed to be. So nice to have it done so quickly.

Jake came back to do some work on our house- hes extremely unprofessional-he was screaming at his employees the whole day belittling them and cussing in my house at them. I was quite happy when they did the bulk of my house last year, even if they were a little expensive. So I invited them back to paint another 4 rooms. The crew came in and they started putting drop cloths down to paint another when the owner Jake came in and told the crew to pack up and leave without talking to me. I asked him what was going on and he said that weren't doing the job any more because "everything changed." But nothing did. He just stormed out. And we waited weeks for them to get us on the schedule. completely unprofessional.

It was a pleasure meeting and working with Mr. Jake and Mrs. Jennifer. They helped us pick colors and worked within our expected budget and timeline. The work was completed quickly and beautifully! There were walls that were deep red and blue, and the crew was able to turn them light beige! We are extremely happy with the job Jake and his crew did in painting our home exterior. Steep roofs and 10 years of sun fading made it a challenging job, and not one I could take on myself. ALL THE WORK WAS DONE BY BRUSH and ROLLER for excellent coverage!!! No spray painting. Power washed everything a day ahead, doing so up on the roof and not from the ground. When we saw his guys using scrapers and caulk prior to painting, we knew that Jake's guys are meticulous pros. And the price was no higher than the other 3 bids I got. I'd certainly hire Jake again next time and will recommend him to my neighbors.

I hired Jakes to paint my entire main level, foyer, stairwell and hall upstairs. Many large rooms with high ceilings. From estimate to completion of the job and follow up text, the folks at Jake's Affordable Painting were a pleasure to work with. Jake and his wife showed up for the estimate on a Thursday, on time and quickly offered a price for the work and an open date, which I was figuring could possibly be weeks out, but was arranged for the following Monday. Jake's wife told me she would arrive at our house at 6:30 am, and that they would get started promptly at 7:00 am, and they did. The crew of approximately 7 completed painting the ceilings, walls, doors and trim in our basement (which is a large open room, one bedroom, and a bathroom) in a little over 5 hours. They cleaned up and were gone to their next job. These folks did what they said they'd do and did it promptly and efficiently. For larger painting jobs, I will use Jake's again and can genuinely recommend their service. (At least give Jake's a shot in your list of estimates!)

I can't speak to the quality of this company's work. I requested a quote from this company based on their reviews. We never made it to the point of actually doing work. I submitted a request for a quote for work for my neighbor, a 71 year old neighbor. I made it clear that she would want me to be there when they were reviewing the property. After the business owner got the address wrong, they told me they'd be there in 15 minutes. I then get a text saying they looked at the property and there was a lot of rot and we needed a carpenter. The entire point of this was to determine what work needed to be done and make plans to fix what needed to be fixed and then have this company paint the outside of the house. I never even spoke to a representative face to face and they didn't even speak to the 71 year old widow. They showed up, walked around the house, and then texted me that there was too much rot. I've now engaged with a carpenter and will be going with a different painting company when the time comes.
