Brian is one of the few remaining true craftsmen. While doing some home repairs, I discovered that the front wall had serious damage ants ate the drywall and termites damaged the frame as well as moisture issues. I found his website online and contacted him for an assessment. We soon discovered that the entire room would need to be completely rebuilt due to, among other things, shoddy initial construction, the use of inferior materials as well as quick fixes by previous occupants. This project was definitely a challenge. Most contractors would have slapped together the front wall and left. Brian notices things that other people wouldnt. He thoroughly explained what the problems were and every step of the rebuilding process. I learned about so many aspects of construction and am thankful for that knowledge. Moreover, I found Brian to be friendly, courteous and meticulously clean. Every morning, we would chat over my morning coffee about what was happening that day. By the end of the project, he was my new best friend. I highly recommend Brian for any project! I am beyond thrilled with my new room and will certainly be contacting him for any project I have in the future.

We hired Creative Ideas Carpentry by Brian Tenney to build a custom wood Fireplace mantle for our brick fireplace, stain, and finishing with a protective coating. Brian is a very knowledgable carpenter whose attention to detail has created this amazing fireplace mantel. This piece of furniture will play a central role in future holiday celebrations. In addition, Brian did structural repairs in the basement to reinforced the main beam and other repairs. During this entire project, Brian was not happy until we were happy. Brian, is a Jack of all trades! I would highly recommend Brian for your next project!

Hired Brian for third round of home fix-ups. Needed molding installed, several doors replaced or rehung, new pullout shelving, drywall repair, some electric and Ring upgrades and bathroom vent attachment. All done within a week. Always on time and fully cleans up at end of the day.

Brian is the most meticulous and knowledgeable contractor we have ever worked with. He not only completely remodeled our dilapidated, fifty-year-old staircase (a job which two other contractors basically told us they werent willing to tackle), he leveled and widened the treads to make the stairs safer for our young children. The condition of our stairs presented numerous challenges, but Brian figured out ways to work around all of them. He also did an incredible job with the trim work running up the staircase. We are incredibly satisfied with his work, and we really cannot recommend Brian highly enough. Update: Brian also recently completed a built-in bookcase for us, and once again we could not be more satisfied with his work!

He was also very flexible with some changes we made midstream during the project. I recently had the pleasure of hiring Brian Tenney and Creative Ideas Carpentry to install french doors and create a study in an area that was previously open. Ive always had fairly hit or miss experiences when contracting, at times the work took much longer than promised, other times the contractor becoming non-responsive. I wanted some level of trust and commitment for this project, and was very lucky to find Brian. From the beginning Brian was very transparent. Brian helped me visualize the final product, shared relevant links to videos of his prior work and provided us with a quote within a reasonable time. When he started working, I was very impressed with his organization, communication and timeliness. Brian would leave the work area clean and organized for the next day before departure. Every morning I had a text from him notifying me he is on his way. He alerted me almost immediately if there were any concerns that may impact the delivery timeline of the project. I genuinely appreciated the proactive communication. Ultimately, Brian completed the project within the committed time. From the beginning he mentioned that his barometer for success was to make it as if the doors were always there. Well that was the exact reaction we had from some recent visitors, who also remarked at the impressive craftsmanship. In the future if my friends ask if I know anyone, I can happily say Ive got a guy.

I have had Brian into my home on numerous occasions now for different kinds of remodels..put a new ceiling in my levittown home. Remodeled my upstairs bedroom with pocket doors a new closet and new floors and finished off with beautiful trim work. Made a beautiful railing in my upstairs loft area...His knowledge, creativity and skills as a master carpenter shows in everything he does...His work is always way better than I could imagine... I have breathing issues and he went way over the top to assure my comfort...he put up plastic barriers around the work areas and even swiftered the floors sometimes twice a day to keep down dust...
