The painting of the cabinets itself was done well. However, like the other reviewers have said, communication is a huge issue. I told the painters to text me when they leave the home so I close up. I would also get text messages that the painters are on the way but they have been at the property for hours? Very confusing. Day of cabinets installation my brand new floors were scratched permanently. I just had these floors done mere weeks ago and Im incredibly saddened by this. If they want to make it right, feel free to email me.

In winter 2025, Blue Star Chesapeake managed a double-bathroom renovation for us plus a bedroom expansion and upgrade. With a team led by Rebecca Ramsey, they were great and their work was terrific. We had a great experience with Blue Star on our extensive renovation of our house in Annapolis, which included a completely new kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace and surround, re-pipe, laundry room, windows and slider, garage doors, ceiling fans, light fixtures, hardwood floors, and paint. Working with the Blue Star team for almost a year, we found them responsive, collaborative, proactive, knowledgeable, and accountable. And their subs were excellent, particularly for plumbing and electric. A major renovation is pretty stressful, but Darden, Becca, and the rest of the Blue Star crew were extremely pleasant to work with, which made it easier. We are thrilled with the final product and are so happy to live in our "new" house. We would use Blue Star again -- but we hope don't have to any time soon.

They sorted out a number of old patches, repainted walls and ceilings with our chosen colors, and did a great job cleaning up after they were done. All the trim work looks neat and a ceiling with exposed wires and pipes looks better than ever before with a fresh coat of white paint. I've been holding back on this but they provided an estimate to fix damages done from a car hitting my house then turned around and lied to the insurance company behind the scenes. At first, Sebastian claimed my sidings were old and no longer on the market so the entire home needed to be replaced. Somehow, they were able to find a match and wanted to only repair a side of the home. The insurance company called to inform me that Blue Star claims they've found an "exact match", including material, size, and color but I was told differently by Blue Star that they could not match the exact color nor size due to the age of my home's sidings. Long story short, they provided me with two estimates, and gave the insurance company something completely different. I attempted to call to understand what happened and the lady was extremely rude and dismissive.
