3 years ago we bought 3 level/split entry home--a former daycare. A fixer-upper, which Ballantine Painting totally transformed. Matt and Mike painted over the black wrought iron stair railings, dark brown and deep blue walls--all in a nice, soft white, which gave the home an inviting, light, airy feeling. They replaced stained and stinky bathroom wainscoating and damaged drywall with brand-new, beautifuly done, textured and painted drywall. They removed sadly outdated ceiling beams and then retextured and painted the ceilings--which visually opened up and enlarged the livingroom and bedroom spaces. FAST FORWARD: We have now downsized and they did their GREAT work, again, by repairing, retexturing and painting the ceilings, covering the dark dingy walls in a beautiful neutral "soji white", and completely finishing the garage ceiling and walls. That garage is now a very nice extension to the house, where we can work on things and hang out in winter! When we ran into problems in discovering moiusture issues in the basement, Mat and Mike were able to expose the issue, replace the torn-out drywall and insullation, and perfectly repair everything up to code. We ended up having to replace ALL the trim in the house--baseboards and doors--and we hired Matt and Mike to do all the paint work. It is truly like we have moved into a brand-new home! Their attention to detail is just phenominal. Their work ethic is very strong. Their prices are quite reasonable. We recommend and will always contact Matt Ballantine for any and all painting and drywall needs.
