Vinny's was the drywall subcontractor for our new home. The workmanship was subpar. I hope to save others from the challenges we have experienced. Tape came loose from ceiling joints, there were/are uneven joints, and many places in the house that were not mudded properly. Vinny's one attempt at fixing the issues was not satisfactory. We had a difficult time trying to get the work scheduled with the workers or Vinny either showing up unannounced, showing up late, or not showing up at all. We even paid our architect to meet Vinny at our house. He was an hour and 45 minutes late. The architect had already left by the time he got there, no offer to reimburse the architect's time. The areas that were reworked are still not right. The tape job on the ceiling joints needs to be done for a third time. They showed an astonishing lack of respect for our home. They drug a dirty tarp with dried mud all over it inside to "protect" the hardwood floors. I had to put up plastic to protect furniture, cabinets, and lighting fixtures since they had not even brought anything to protect those items. At one point, one of the workers was sitting on top of an antique pie safe, using it as a seat. They left a big mess - dust everywhere. Nobody was supervising these guys, so it was up to me to tell them to clean up. We've had two different professional drywall companies come in to look at the repairs needed to fix it. They confirmed the tape was never applied correctly. The mud was never applied correctly. There are places where no mud was applied. Wall joints are still showing in several places. There are a few settling cracks that have appeared, but we expected these, so nothing above is in reference to settling cracks. These repairs will cost us thousands of dollars to remedy, plus we'll have to deal with the mess again and repaint (the entire ceiling and most of the walls - thousands of $$ more). It's like a remodel on a brand new house. Needless to say, I do not recommend this company.
