They did a great job repairing areas on the roof that was causing leakage. Very professional, quick turn-around and great at explaining what they were going to do. Answered all questions and provided cost saving recommendations to do the repairs. I hope to use them again for other house projects in the future.

Toombs Residential Home Improvement recently completed two projects for me. I began working with Johnny on an estimate for a split rail fence. During his visit I discovered the many services they provide. I needed LVP flooring in an area with many angles and curves. Johnny measured the area and explained how they would handle the installation challenges. I received the estimate within a couple of days. The price was reasonable so I accepted it and met Johnny at a local retailer to order materials. He made helpful suggestions and educated me on LVP flooring. I ordered materials and work began shortly after receiving everything. From start to finish Johnny and his crew were great. They started and completed the work as scheduled. The fence installation exceeded my expectations and looks great. The flooring install was perfect. I plan to use Toombs Residential Home Improvement for future projects, and highly recommended them for your home improvement needs.

Edit: This contractor is very dishonest. He states he was not "hired" for anything and was doing this for "free." He did not give us an estimate on the 2nd appointment after no call no show the 1st appointment. We asked what he wanted paid for his time during the 2nd appointment. What we were told: he normally charges for estimates, but was not. He scheduled a 3rd appointment to do the estimate & then would be doing the necessary repairs immediately afterwards. We were essentially agreeing to work with no idea of the price or even a price range, but trusting he would have fair pricing. ALSO, giving our reason, then stating we were uncomfortable with you, wishing you the best and a good day IS NOT RUDE BY ANY STANDARD. This contractor is extremely unprofessional, rude and has no respect for other peoples' time. He is furthermore, not punctual and while there have been 3 appointments, we have had to reach out to him to see where he is every time. Running behind or late is one thing, it is your responsibility to relay that information to your customers. It is not your customer's job to reach out to you, to see where you are and if you are even showing up. We were perfectly fine leaving things as they were. We were kind to you in communicating our chosing not to use your services: it was the disrespectful text message & telling us how you didn't even want to do the work anyways that has led to this review. We have been nothing but understanding & kind to you: this is not how you treat people, especially customers whom have hired you to do work. The 1st appointment: we messaged him 31 minutes after the agreed time as he had no call, no showed. 57 minutes after he was supposed to be here, he messaged us back "its been a long day in the heat but probably have to try and make it tomorrow." No worries, we understood and overlooked that he had not reached out to us prior to our appointment. The 2nd appointment, again no call no show: we had to message him & this time 22 minutes after the agreed time he texted us back to tell us he was running a little late - he arrived 1 hour 45 minutes after the agreed time. It happens, we get it & again, overlooked it. Today he was supposed to begin the work between 9 am - 10 am and while we were up and ready for him after rearranging our schedules for the 3rd time, he texted at 10:05 am to tell us that he was running late. At this point, we were no longer comfortable or confident that if he began the work, it would be completed in a timely manner, if at all. This was not a matter of rare occurrence or circumstance, but clearly the normal expectation with this contractor and most likely poor planning and time management on his part. We could no longer trust that what he had told us would take place. We responded to his text kindly that we were uncomfortable and wished him the best. This is what we sent: "see screenshot" He then arrived 35 minutes later, got out of his vehicle, looked at his phone, got back in his vehicle and then sped out of our driveway spinning up gravel in the process. He proceeded to text us back and was extremely unprofessional "see screenshot"

I was looking for a painter in Zanesville and came across this business. We set up a time for an estimate and he showed up on time gave me my estimate for labor and materials and a start date. They showed up and moved and covered everything in the room. There were three painters and they worked very well together. It was a 3 day job and at the end of each day they swept and cleaned up and moved everything back. I would highly recommend them for painting. The job was excellent and not one speck of paint on the floor. They also replaced all the baseboards and everything looks great.

Hired Toombs Residential to fix a bathroom that another contractor messed up and they did a wonderful job bathroom looks great ,they also did new siding and replacement windows for us , they were top notch in making sure we were satisfied checking with us along the process to make sure that it was how we wanted it to look , had no issues with them at all and will most certainly be hiring them again, just wish I had found them 2 years ago to have done our remodel the last contractor made a mess that we now have to fix I feel that you won't go wrong if you hire them wonderful guys they are

A Disappointing Experience with Johnny Toombs I had a truly disappointing experience with Johnny Toombs. After agreeing to a job, he stated he'd be busy for three weeks and would send over paperwork. I waited patiently, but when I didn't hear back, I reached out to him. His response was shocking: he claimed he "didn't think I was that serious" and then oddly remarked that "a lot of people tell you they got a big job and don't show up." This was baffling, as I was ready to move forward and pay him, and he was the one who failed to send the promised paperwork. Johnny's lack of follow-through, poor communication, and unprofessional attempt to blame me for his own inaction made this a very frustrating encounter. I cannot recommend him.

These guys replaced some old fiberboard walls with drywall in a walk-in closet. It was dirty, dusty work. They were extremely conscientious about containing the dirt and dust and keeping it away from the rest of the house. We were very satisfied with their work.
