Absolute nightmare with this company. They subbed out the work to unqualified handymen in the area for a bathroom remodel, had to completely demo the shower floor as it wasn't slopped properly and expected me to pay for the materials needed to redo, hack job on the wall tile, and last by not least, didn't connect the tub drain, leaving water draining from the tub through the wall into the living room. Avoid at all costs.

Beware of companies that take advantage of the elderly and your trust in them!!! On January 22, 2024, over a year ago, I signed a contract for a room addition (26 feet x 13 feet) and gave them a deposit of $1,000. I was told if I decided not to build the room, I would just lose the deposit. I was repeatedly pressured, early on, for multiple additional payments (totaling $23,905 - only a portion of the total contract cost) including the deposit. I trusted the project manager (Omer) and company as I had talked to the owner/President of the company (Ben) assuring me that they would do a great job. They kept saying they were waiting on the city and would start construction as soon as they got a permit. We waited a year and made no plans to travel for fear construction would start. They never got a permit from the city of Plantation (which the city told me in Dec. 2024) and they never applied for HOA approval although I gave them the forms to fill out in the beginning. The architect plans were a joke and had to be repeatedly updated because of mistakes they continued to make (they are still wrong!). I asked to cancel the contract in December of 2024, after waiting nearly a year, and asked for a refund. I offered to let them keep $5,000 and they refused to refund me the rest of my money. To date (Feb, 1, 2025) I have not received a refund even though no work to my home has been started. My husband is in hospice and I was sure we would have a new room by last Christmas (2024). I feel this company breached their contract and have not provided services they have been paid to provide. Run , run, run from this company as I would not trust them to do anything except keep your money. I would love to get a refund of $18,900 and even then Im giving them $5000 for providing/doing nothing so far. I really should get a full refund except for the non-refundable $1,000 deposit, if they were an honorable company, as they breached the contract.

The most unprofessional contractors I have ever met if you can even call them that. Theyre the most unprofessional individuals I have ever met in my 10 years in this business. Save yourself the time and money and go with a competent contractor for your kitchen. They messed up the design multiple times and had everyone else to blame. Multiple people told me to stay away and I wish I wouldve listened. Spend the extra $ and use a competent cabinetry company.

A few months ago, I called Tella Builders to get an estimate cost on a kitchen renovation and two bathrooms for my house. Days after, Omer came to my home to see my project and to provide me with a free quote. Omer was very polite and professional and I liked his ideas. After a few companies that provided estimates, I decided to go with Omer and Tella Builders. Great at getting work done fast but leaves everything dirty, doesnt pick up pile of garbage when needed to. Also installed our new toilet in the bathroom incorrectly now doesnt flush properly and there is air in there. Worker came out and said they needed to declog from the roof and charge us additional $400. Honestly felt we didnt get a good deal and also they left the entire shower stall stained and scratched. Budget went over and was told that we needed to pay additional. Feel they wanted to rush the job because of prior jobs in work.

I had solicited quite a few quotes to build a composite deck and fence for my home. Tella Builders provided me with a very reasonable quote which was 30% less than the other quotes i received. I admit I was concerned the quality was not going to be there. Omer and his crew were professional, on time and the quality of work was outstanding. My wife and I had extensive water damage in our home so we looked on the internet for a remodeling company. We came across several BUT Tella seemed to have what we needed at a price we could afford. Our insurance company refused to pay so everything had to come "out of our pocket." Omer sat down with us and had a great presentation prepared. He also went to the supply houses with us and together we bought what we needed. He was honest and actually interested in our dilemma. Everything was done and exceeded our expectations. This is the worst experience ever. We hired this company to redo our master bath to prepare for our senior years. At first they seem to be listening, getting the appropriate measurements for shower head height, seat width and height, sill width and height. These were our must haves for the remodel. He gave us the square footage for the tile purchase, it was wrong. It was less than what we calculated. We purchased what we thought was right, 4 extra boxes of tile, and they used every one. When the wall tiles were up, about 3 inches on top did not have a wall behind it! Kevin said no problem it will be perfect when its done, my concern was why would you put up tile where theres no wall. The shower head was way taller than we asked, by a foot. The shower floor was not level, there was standing water. Spoke with Kevin and he asked for payment of the installed tile, which would be 15% more making our total 95% of the total price, and we said no, fix the problem first. Instead of removing the entire floor like they said to fix the pitch, they only removed half. Leaving the shower still not draining properly and the tile not matching. He asked for the payment again. We told Kevin we were done with him and will only speak to the owner. Ben called wanting the payment, threatening to place a lien, and for us to hold the last 5 % or 700.00 of the final payment until the repairs are completed. We said no, (they would never come back for 700.00) there will be no payment until the tile is addressed. He asked if he could come to the house to look at the shower, we agreed. He still insisted he needed the 15% payment to repair the shower because in the contract it says 15% upon completion of tile install, whether its right or not. Then when they do the final walk through they address the problems and come back to make repairs. He insisted on taking pictures (so he can say he finished the project ...) we said no. He started to become angry, so we said thank you for coming but please just leave now. He refused to leave, yelling for us to pay him his money, we had to threaten to call the police due to his alarming behavior. We found the shower drain requires the drain to be moved closer to the center or about 10 - 12 away from the wall to allow for proper drainage as well as the pitch in the floor fixed. The drain was never moved from the former tub location. To say the least this is not over but we cant allow a third time to get the job done right. And theres so much more.
