I chose them after hearing mixed opinions, so I wasnt sure what to expect. They started on time and worked without much interruption. During the job, one section near the window looked slightly uneven, and they corrected it after I mentioned it. There was a minor scheduling adjustment on the second day, but they communicated it clearly. The final result looks consistent across all walls. It wasnt a perfect process, but they handled issues properly and didnt leave anything unfinished.

This is the third or fourth time that we have used Southern Painting, and have always been very pleased with their service. After this last job was completed, the rep came back and informed me that there was some work that they did not have to do that was included on the original quote, and therefore gave a credit for that amount, causing us to pay less than anticipated! Miguel has always been fair with us.

We had a big painting project completed by Southern Painting. They could not have done a more beautiful job. They were courteous, tidy, quiet and meticulous. I had my kitchen cabinets repainted and I am especially happy with them, they have a lovely Matt finish, not shiny at all. Southern Painting did indoor and outdoor painting for us as we prepare to sell our house. They did an outstanding job of drywall repairs and other fixes before they painted, and all painting was spotless and perfect. They even refinished our front door, and it looks better than new! Miguel gave us a good price, and he guided us through the process from start to finish. Javier Reyes was the painting supervisor, and he made sure all work was up to his very high standards. I reached out to Southern Painting to get a quote to paint my garage and other miscellaneous repairs around my townhome. I received multiple quotes for the job and JJ was able to quote me a competitive price and even managed to get me on their schedule quickly. I absolutely love and recommend my Southern Painting folks. JJ, has been with the company for a long time, is sooo knowledgeable, very respectful, and ensures the right crew is assigned to your project. The foremen that have led my various projects are equally professional, and do not dawdle. My coworker referred Southern Painting after hiring them for a couple projects himself. I selected Southern Painting out of a couple painting/wall paper removal crews because their pricing was al a carte, transparent, and fair. Other companies tried to convince me to paint every room in bulk so they could offer discounted pricing, and then would hike the price if I only wanted to move forward with one to two rooms at a time. We were not simply painting our interior white... the tactic did not work on us (and SP was still fairly priced comparatively). Weve hired SP for 4 painting projects that aligned with different remodeling stages of our home. Theyve remove expensive wallpapers, tile, chair rails, added drywall, plastered, and painted 90% of my houseand most importantly, none of it feels like a downgrade because of the quality of their work! Depending on their booking season, SP can be a little hard to book next day, BUT they typically can start your project within 1-2 weeks of your call if they are not fully booked (so call ahead of now). If you have any hesitation on colors for your space, SP referred an interior designer to help confirm and pick colors for the roomsshe was equally amazing and easy to work with. We are nearing the end of rooms, trims, and doors that need to be painted. But, happy to share that since the first project in 2022, to our latest project in Feb 2025, their quality has not waned. When were asked who we used and recommend, without hesitation its Southern Painting.

Weve just had Southern Painting in to complete three major painting projects - totally updating the look of the interior. Southern Painting was a recommendation from an online group and we decide to give them a call for an estimate. I was surprised to find that their pricing was very competitive with some smaller painting operations. I worked with Rance Lewis to paint both inside and outside the house. Rance was very responsive and did everything I ask and even suggested a few things that worked out well for us. I would use Rance and Southern Painting again in the future.

Well, I really wanted to leave 5 stars...however... The beginning was great (what relationship story doesn't start out that way, right?): picked up the paint arrived on scheduled date at a decent time taped off everything very well (had kitchen cabinets redone and master bedroom repainted) finished a day earlier painted interior doors, moldings, etc. with no extra cost After they finished, I showed the foreman and lead painter the flaws in the cabinets, and a date was set up to come back and make the corrections. That's where the relationship began to unravel: was told the day before that the date would need to be pushed out due to a delay from a personal trip home (fine, I get it) didn't hear back for a few days, so followed up..nothin followed up again, told would have a date that afternoon...nothing followed up again, given a date morning of I'm told an elaborate story of a breakdown about the lead painter's van having problems (side note: he drives a truck), so needed to reschedule yet again told he would come the following Tuesday, fine...lead painter's shows up Monday... guess I shouldn't complain? lead painter tells me he didn't come the week prior...because of a broken down van?...,no. Because the foreman double-booked. Where's the integrity? Lead painter did a sufficient job with the fixes - never heard a peep again from the foreman. Unfortunate, because I had told said foreman that I had other projects this month I wanted them to come do. Not sure about you, but if you can't trust someone in a relationship..would you continue it?

I used Southern Painting for the first time and they will be the company I use going forward. Miguel Chavez came to my home to discuss three individual projects. He was great. Listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions when warranted, and asked questions to clarify. My original intent was to only do one of the three projects initially to see the work they did. After the first project was complete, I immediately scheduled the other two. I found their pricing to be very fair and within my budget. Julio and his team did two of the three projects and they were outstanding. If you are working with Southern Painting servicing Richardson/Plano/etc you want Julio and team doing the work. They are very conscientious about what they are doing. They take great pride in their work. Their attention to detail was incredible, things I would not have thought of, they did. This will be my crew for future painting needs.

Southern painted two wrought iron railings located outside of my home. The railings needed prepping due to some rust and old peeling paint. Except for some small amount of peeling paint I found underneath the bottom of the one rail after completion, I believe the painter did a very good job and I would recommend Southern for this type of work. Not all painting companies will take on this type of job. I plan on asking Southern Painting to do more projects over the next six months. Five stars for customer communication.

We recently decided it was time to repaint the exterior of our home and repair/replace some damaged wood sections as well. A neighbor referred us to Southern Painting and we couldn't be happier. The free walkaround with Alan was very helpful and even helped us identify some issues we hadn't noticed. From there the quote was a good value and it was a quick turnaround to having a crew onsite to repair the damaged wood sections, power wash, and caulk before completing one of the best paint jobs we've seen. Southern Painting was referred to me by a neighbor. I had an 80's wood paneling Plano home to paint. I didn't get other quotes as their quote was more than fair. They painted my wood paneling, ceilings, skylight tunnel, peeling outside patio ceiling brick fireplace, and front door an accent color. 4 days total and great cleanup. We stayed in the house during the work. Alan was our salesman and his crew leader did a great daily job.
