I am a great believer that if one hires locally one keeps prosperity within the area you live. But its immensely important that the quality of the person that you hired be up to par. I had Rutherford Handyman services come to install my new dishwasher. They were on time and courteous . They Took the old dishwasher with them and made sure that everything was working properly. They were on time and no surprises . I was so happy with their work that I am getting ready to start several new projects with them.

My husband and I hired recently Randy to help renovate our kitchen. He removed six layers of flooring, exposing the original wood floors, painted the walls, trim, and upper cabinets, replaced the lower cabinets, and installed new hardware and faucets. I feel so lucky to have found Rutherford Handyman Service.. Mr. Bobby Wallace and his crew have been an absolute delight to work with. My wife and I recently purchased a home in Lake Lure that had been vacant for several years and needed some remodeling and general maintenance that had been neglected. We live full time in Charleston and just had a fourth baby so we were unable to be present to meet plumbers etc... Mr. Wallace arranged everything and has kept us in the loop the entire time! Great quality of work, excellent value, amazing communication and very easy to work with. Highly recommend for anyone looking for work in the area.

Well this was a bad experience from the start. I made my initial appointment and someone was supposed to be out on a Friday, no show or call. Finally a guy named Jose called and said his boss gave him the wrong phone number , so I said no problem just come out tomorrow on Saturday and Jose said his sabbath starts on Saturday, ok ( said lets do it on Monday. Well I got a text saying he was on the way and he showed up . The job was to replace a bathroom fan . It was really unusual that the person who came to rhe door was driving Jose around in his car. He brought his wife with him and had her wait in the car , I thought this was quite odd. Anyway Jose and the other gentleman started to work on the fan after some struggles they told me it was a different size fan and that they didnt have the tools to finish the job. Why would you show up without tools? Anyway I chose not to go ahead with the job , I can say this was the most uncomfortable and unusual experience I have ever had. Im sorry but I could not recommend them. They were very nice and polite but the whole situation seemed incompetent
