I hired Rodriguez Painting for interior painting and wallpaper work. While the project was ultimately completed, the overall experience was frustrating and lacked professionalism, accountability, and consistent oversight. The project ran longer than expected and was finished on Christmas Eve. The crew did not consistently stay for entire workdays nor communicate that the job wouldnt be done until Christmas Eve. The owner, Toms, was not physically present for the final two days of work, and the difference in quality was noticeable. When he was on-site earlier in the project, the crews work was more thorough and fewer items were missed. On the final day, I did not have the opportunity to conduct a proper walk-through, as I was leaving for church. Despite this, I received multiple calls on Christmas Eve insisting on payment. This was especially concerning given that the invoice provided showed a due date a month later, which I believe was an administrative error, but still their error. Several workmanship issues were missed, including paint drips, incomplete coverage (bald spots), and lack of proper floor protection. I had to remind the crew to cover surfaces and repaint missed areas, which was frustrating as a customer who hired professionals specifically to manage these details. When the crew returned to address missed work, I also learned that a lead-based paint product had been used without prior consultation or disclosure. Had this been discussed beforehand, I would not have approved its use in my home. They continued to bill me for the product. In addition, personal property was damaged during the project. Paint was left on my pillowcase, requiring me to purchase new sheets. I showed this directly to the crew when they returned to correct missed areas, yet no accountability was taken. The owner stated in writing that I could have caused this myself, which is both inaccurate and disappointing. I would never take a paintbrush to my own bedding, and I had moved furniture away from walls and supplied plastic sheeting in advance to prevent this exact issue. There were also basic cleanliness concerns. After requesting to use my bathroom, the crew left the toilet seat and surrounding area visibly soiled. This was unsanitary and frustrating, and I should not have to clean up after adults working in my home. In addition, paint (same color they were painting) was found on door handles and my bathroom vanity - and I had to bring this to their attention on the courtesy visit. After concerns were raised, the company offered to repair as a courtesy a missed wallpaper area and several paint drips. These were not courtesy items but corrections to incomplete work. Communication with Toms afterward involved unnecessary back-and-forth and a defensive tone rather than ownership or resolution. Concerns raised in good faith were disputed instead of addressed professionally. Rodriguez Painting could have potential, but improvement will require stronger ownership, consistent oversight, transparent communication, respect for a clients home, and proper project closeout before requesting final payment.

Rodriguez Painting LLC recently repainted our garage, as well as repaired/replaced all of the rotted or damaged wood. They were quick to get us a quote, quick to complete the work, professional, and had great attention to detail. We would recommend them to others as a trustworthy, reliable construction company, and plan to use them again in the future! UPDATE 9/9/25: Rodriguez Painting LLC recently completed a framing and drywall project in the upstairs of our home. They brought existing walls to the ceiling, and added framing in the master bedroom to make it private, including the install of French doors. Thomas and his team had this done within four days and again did an amazing job! Communication A+, fair quote, quality work.
