If youre interested in an unbiased review from a picky customer please read this; Joey McCarthy is one of most customer centric contractors Ive had the pleasure of working with. Hes prompt, courteous, and a true craftsman! If youre looking for painters who will do it right at a fair price, look no further! I had water damage to my ceiling and settling cracks in wall corners that he and his crew repaired and is 100% like new. No visible signs I ever had a roof leak which is a difficult ask. Plus, went out of his way to work me into his schedule promptly. Ill always contact him for future needs.

Joey and his team of professional painters are a 10/10. Excellent work and just as important excellent and thorough clean up. We have several more projects to complete in 2026 and wouldnt hire anyone else. Very fair pricing.

I'm not typically one to write a review, but I felt compelled to after our experience with Joey at Richard's Painting. Him and his team absolutely revitalized our close to 30 year home! Joey was extremely responsive and easy to work with. It truly felt like he cared about making our home look great, their work is proof of that. I had some serious damage to multiple areas of my home thanks to squirrels, now you can't even tell anything ever happened. Joey also spent the time reinforcing the problem areas so it can never happen again! They went above and beyond what my wife and I were expecting. I've never heard my wife respond so positively to a decision I've made! Thanks Joey and team for making this an amazing experience! I will not use any other painting service other than these guys after this. I HIGHLY recommend them!!

Called Joey from a review from a friend that had used Richard's Painting Huntersville. Joey quickly responded and came out to give me an estimate. I knew when meeting him this was going to be my painter. Painted my exterior of my cedar siding home and shed out back . Also several repairs on siding. He was always on time. While waiting on my start date my wife and i had several different ideas on colors and how we wanted our home done. Joey came back out on a Saturday to discuss with us. His first goal was to make us happy. Joey and his crew was fantastic and addressed every thing that needed to be taken care of. They did several things I asked along the way with out any issue. Their work Is detailed and first class. Joey's said his goal was to make us love our new painted home and we sure do. We have had many people in the neighborhood compliment on how great our home looks now. I wish all contractors were as professional and dependable as Richard's Painting of Huntersville! Joey and his associates repaired and painted our office wall and ceiling which had water damage. We also had them epoxy our garage floors. They were very well organized and clearly communicated what to expect for drying time, etc. The results are amazing! I recently hired Richards painting of Huntersville for an interior & exterior painting job, and I couldnt be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, Joey, Darrell and Hever were professional, punctual, friendly, and incredibly detail-oriented. They took great care to prep the space properly and made sure everything was clean and tidy afterward. The quality of the work is outstandingthe bathroom, front porch and door look flawless and the color is exactly what I envisioned. On the first day they came out to paint the bathroom I had a knee brace on so I wasnt able to walk my dog and Joey took her for a walk, Darrell petted her, you just dont find that type of personal kindness much anymore. Communication was excellent throughout the process. I highly recommend Richards painting company to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality painting services! Joey & his crew were absolutely awesome! Professional, prompt communication, and excellent customer service. They walk through the space, map out a plan and execute. They even help you move furniture and rehang paintings when they are done. An added bonus is their paneling work!! Top quality painting and service. Would use again and refer 100 times over!

Joey is so nice, and does amazing work. He and his crew painted our cabinets, ceiling, walls, and trim. I added a few items for them to do after they started the job and they still got it all done in less time than quoted. They also cleaned up after themselves daily. Highly recommend.

We are so very happy with the painting done by Joey and his crew at Richard's Painting Huntersville. We needed our worn out deck and pergola re-stained and some boards needed to be replaced. We also asked him to power wash the front of our house. Both the deck and the house look amazing after they finished their work! Joey is honest, communicative, and the work he does is meticulous and very fairly priced. If you are looking for a painter, hire these guys! You won't be sorry!

I can not say enough good things about the quality of work done by Joey, Darryl, and Austin. Its amazing what a truly professional paint job can do to freshen up your home and they completed this task in spades. And, they are all super nice too! I highly recommend them!

I have not had a better vendor/contractor in my home ever. Joe and Darryl were extremely conscientious , punctual, and polite. They took much pride in making my color choices come to life. As other people have said, they do meticulous work and fixed things I had not even noticed needed fixing. I will definitely have them back to do the outside as soon as I can. Visitors have heavily complimented thier work too!

Joey (and also his assistant Austin) went above and beyond painting my garage after meticulously reparing some drywall imperfections. He takes great pride in his work, was very responsive, on time and polite. An absolute pleasure to work with and will definitely hire Joey again for future jobs around my house. Joey has done a wonderful job on our new home. He had taken it from a depressing builder gray, to a soft Revere Pewter tannish-gray. Joey also fixed so many nail pops leaps and bounds better than the builders painter (that guy just slapped globs of speckle on them and made mounds). Joey is a great guy, with a quality ethic. So glad to have a home now as opposed to just living in a house we purchased form somebody. Thanks Joey!!
