Jim did a wonderful job patching a ceiling mishap and paid close attention to matching the texture of the ceiling. He was able to fit us into his busy schedule within a couple of weeks of our call and finished the job within a week. I would highly recommend the Plaid Handyman!

Jim, The Plaid Handyman, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He repaired a hole in the drywall after I had a plumbing leak repaired. He finished the job by texturizing the area to match the rest of the wall. All I have to do is paint. He was quick to respond to my initial text message, showed up at the time he said he would to give me an estimate, (even came prepared to start the job that day), answered all my questions, charged a fair price for the job, & cleaned up after himself, even when I said he didn't have to. I'm planning to have him install new storm doors next. If there were more than 5 , I would give them to this review.

Jim, The Plaid Handyman, has done several jobs for us in the last few years including installation of bathroom countertops, mirrors, light fixtures as well as a railing for steps on our patio. Each job was done to perfection often requiring Jim to creatively deal with the ginkies of a house with some mileage. Sowhen we were contemplating a kitchen remodel, we approached Jim with the prospect of completing the project while we were away for the winter(clever, huh?). He agreed and immediately began to help us with the planning, measuring and ordering of all materials prior to our leaving. Jim did provide regular updates and pics throughout the winter, but spared us worrisome details on the challenges that such a project always involves. We were thrilled to come home to a beautifully redone kitchen, immaculately clean, complete with a bouquet of flowers on the counter(thank you, Jane and Steph!). Jim is much more than a handyman. He is a seasoned craftsman with exceptional problem solving skills and an engaging personality, to boot. If you have a project in mind, youd be fortunate to get on Jims schedule. Mary & Al Bitz

We found Jim by researching names online. The reviews are correct! Jim has always been prompt and willing to meet on a Saturday morning for a quick meeting. He did a number of different projects including a couple entry door build outs, absolutely gorgeous decks, siding replacement, planning the cement work needed. Very trustworthy person for our projects. We would call him again in a heartbeat. Thanks again for the great work!

Jim was on time, came with a compliment of tools to get any job done, and had already done an assessment on what needed to be done prior to today. He had to patch up a tricky area of wood laminate in the living area. Took some time, but he worked the situation and did a fantastic job. Looks great, and worth the time and money involved. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a handyman to fix, install, etc. without hesitation.

Not only is Jim, the Plaid Handyman, the ultimate professional but the quality of his workmanship and his creative ideas are sheer perfection. He completely gutted and remodeled our guest cottage and we couldnt be more pleased with the results. Jim has completed numerous jobs on our main house, as well, and continually produced excellent results. Jim is kind, patient and humorous which makes him a pleasure to work with. Jim the Plaid Handyman is a handyman indeed!! We just had Jim do some remodeling in our bathroom, of which he did an awesome job. The first day on the job he had said he would be to our place at 9 AM, he pulled in the yard right at 9, I was impressed. In the remodeling he did for us he had to do some plumbing, drywall work and painting. He can do it, would highly recommend Jim for your remodeling needs.
