We had an incredible experience working with the Paintworks team to repair the walls and paint our whole townhome before moving in. From the very start Ryan, Ricky and the team were very responsive and detailed in their approach, providing an estimate within a few hours of chatting through the brief. We were working on a tight schedule, and they were very accommodating and ready to start the work the following week. Once things started the house was bustling with activity, with an extremely efficient team of 5 set up and ready to go within the first hour of arriving. They wrapped up the whole project in 3 days when it was initialy estimated to be 5, and even took on some additional repair work that had come up during prior construction. They were very detail-oriented, and careful about working around all the original prewar features of the home. Special shoutout to Danny, who had an endless amount of patience for all the small side projects I gave him when I noticed an unsightly crack or hole that needed repair. And despite all of that, they did not exceed the original estimate by a single dollar, and their pricing was very reasonable for the quality of work provided in such short timelines. I will definitely be working with them again in the future to execute some of my wilder design ideas for my walls, and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for painters in the NYC area.

Paintworks was amazing! Ryan came to access the work we needed and gave us a reasonable and timely quote. He worked with our schedule and work started quickly. The team, including Aigars, was fantastic. Our bathroom ceiling was replaced and painted beautifully. Aigars designed a new laundry area with doors that closed over our large units. The results are wonderful, and Ive already recommended them to a friend for any work she needs done to her apartment. Im so happy with the work that was done, and appreciate how quickly and well the work was done.

I got exactly what I asked for. First off, they are incredibly thorough and transparent. Any price adjustment is immediately told to you, and if something is best left untouched they will advise you. Every question they have, they ask instead of guess. They are also super friendly and quick to respond. They also really take pride in their work. It wasn't just a job for them, they treat your home like it's art. I have eccentric taste, and they happily helped me find my vision. This was a delightful experience. (Something that is rarely said about home construction/updates.)

I had a positive experience working with Paintworks. They were responsive, easy to work with, clear/honest about the estimate and time frame, and more or less finished the job on time. They did great work and I'm really happy with how my apartment looks now. They painted the entire apartment and my kitchen cabinets. The apartment feels like a new space. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again if I have another major painting project.

I've hired paintworks a few times now and will continue to use them in the future. They are professional, the painters are friendly and polite. I like that they do patching and other minor drywall repair before painting and that they come back without hassle to do any touchups if necessary.

The PaintWorks team was fantastic and exceeded all of my expectations! From first contact, they were: - communicative and professional, responding to all questions quickly and completely - friendly with a desire to please, working with me to order the lights I wanted and even offering to stack my washer and dryer to help as part of the work while they were there so I didnt have to find another contractor as my super couldnt - very fairly priced with super quick timeline, where others said it would take two weeks they did the work in three days with a large team - FANTASTIC at their job, the painting, wallpapering, and electrical work I had done is better than I couldve imagined My condo is PERFECT because of PaintWorks. You wont regret hiring them!

A decent price but just okay work. I have very mixed feelings about the work that paint works did in my apartment. Ryan was responsive when working up my quote and the work was done in the amount of time specified. However, even months later Im still finding evidence of 3-star job. Theres spots of white paint throughout my apartment...on my duvet cover, on the kitchen wall, on the window frames, above the baseboards etc. The sheen of the eggshell paint samples we used to decide what color we wanted are shining through the matte paint we selected even after a complimentary touch up. The patch/spackle work is inconsistent around the apartment. Some bumps were totally smoothed out and others were just painted over. And there is a spot in the closet area that was totally missed and its still the old color. With so many 5 star review and a personal referral, Im not sure what went wrong with my apartment.
