I highly recommend Oceanside Construction & Design. They recently completed construction on my new detached garage. I met Jonah when looking for someone to remodel the interior of the home. He did an amazing job with both projects. When going through a stressful event such as a remodel or construction, it's so helpful to have a contractor who takes and returns your calls. I never waited more than 24 hours to hear back from Jonah. His business partner Elliott headed up the garage project and was a lifesaver on more than one occasion. Elliott goes above and beyond every time he comes over to our house, from sweeping the floors before he leaves to swinging by on a Sunday just to make sure everything is going well, his dedication impressed me over and over. I can't imagine you could find a better company to work with on your home project. I wouldn't trust anyone else with mine.

Jonah is very quick to respond by phone or email, and also gets the work scheduled quickly. The communication was my main thing (because many contractors here don't communicate well), and they were really on top of things - let me know what was happening with permits and inspections, etc. Just very professionally run! I had them doing insulation and drywall in a utility building (she shed type thing) and they were done very quickly and looks great.

We honestly cannot say enough good things about Elliott. He took our 1940's house down to the studs and built it back up into our dream home. I believe he said there were two interior studs that didnt move. From the sub floor to the roof deck, I cant think of anything we didnt touch and we wouldnt have done it with anyone else. Not only did Elliott guide us through a process wed never have been able to navigate without him, he did it while the County set up hoop after hoop for him to jump through. He is beyond trustworthy and a man of his word. If he tells you he will do something he gets it done, even if it means doing it himself on a Saturday or Sunday. We chose Oceanside because right off the bat we felt they were people we wouldnt mind having to be in constant communication with and over a year later we still feel that way. Elliott worked with us to maximize our budget and his ideas were always helpful and appreciated. He thought about things we never knew to and made sure we had input in every single aspect of the project. He says it was accidental, but OCD is a fitting acronym when working with Elliott because he likes everything to be perfect and treated our house as if it was his own. Oceansides pricing is more than fair, but finding a contractor you trust and like is worth every penny. We have heard horror stories from friends and family about construction projects ending in lawsuits or worse and we feel so blessed that we had Elliott and his team making sure that didnt happen. We wouldnt hesitate to bring Elliott back for any additional project we come up with and have recommended him to everyone who has asked (and some who havent).

What a relief it was to find the team at Oceanside Construction & Design. We emphasize team because from beginning to end of completing our dream 900 sf hunting cabin with a covered 10ft wrap-around porch they were there to guide and advise us. We had our vision of what we thought we wanted but from the very start Elliot reviewed what we wanted then guided us through many options and pricing choices that we had not considered. Changing the pitch of the roof and offering us a 18ft high cathedral ceiling was an awesome suggestion. OCD involvement and experience helped relieve some of our anxiety in taking on such a large project. Once we came to an agreement and signed a contract we were blown away with how well they kept on schedule to projected time lines and with the quality and skill of their work. We think they have some of the best skilled builders weve seen or heard about.
