After the estimate was completed we received a folder detailing ever aspect of the job to be performed. The team that we received were beyond skilled and paid great attention to detail. Always happy to accommodate any requests. We became friendly with them and enjoyed having them at our home! We had a very disappointing experience with this company. From the beginning, we followed their full process, including working with their color specialist and accepting their initial quote. However, as the project progressed, the actual scope and cost deviated significantly from what was originally quoted. Multiple additional charges were introduced along the way, resulting in a final cost roughly $2,000 higher (which is 20% increase) than the contract amount. In addition, the work delivered did not align with the expectations set during the quoting phase, and the project timeline was not respected. Based on our experience, I recommend carefully reviewing all terms, clarifying scope in detail, and documenting any changes before proceeding. Update on 4/20/2026: Response to business Owner, Glenn for his comment on 4/20/2026: Glenn, I think your response misses the core issue. Yes, the contract mentions two coats and the possibility of a third. The problem is that your team including the color consultant should have anticipated that the selected color would not cover properly over darker walls. Thats part of the expertise we were paying for. Instead, we were given a quote that did not reflect the actual scope required to achieve a proper result. Saying that I approved a third coat ignores the reality of the situation. At that point, the job was already in progress and incomplete, leaving me with little practical choice if I wanted the job finished correctly. Also, characterizing my feedback as a threat is inaccurate. I expressed dissatisfaction with unexpected additional costs on a project that was supposed to be professionally assessed from the start. Thats a reasonable concern for any customer. At the end of the day, this comes down to expectation vs. delivery. I agreed to a finished result, not a process that required multiple cost increases to get there.

We couldnt be happier with NHV painters! They repaired many of the walls and ceilings in our old house which was built in 1858. We met with Adria, an interior decorator provided by NHV Painters. This service is included in the price of the job. She helped us pick out our colors. We are so happy with our selection because we changed the vibe of the house to reflect more trendy and popular colors. Gone is the basic white, hello color! Many of the old areas of the house have plaster walls which had many cracks that needed a great deal of prep work before they were able to paint. The project manager, Enaldo Oliveira, was so professional and communicative. He texted us daily with his arrival time so we could meet him if we had any questions. His communication skills throughout the entire job were excellent. He kept us apprised of all the phases of the job and was true to the timeline. Alejandro, the foreman, was a master of his trade! He repaired areas on our walls, ceilings and doors and we could not even tell that work was done. He always kept us informed of progress and made suggestions regarding the type of sheen to use such as flat, egg shell or gloss when it came to selecting paint. His attention to detail was amazing. He supervised his crew and was always on site while the work was in progress. They put paper down on the floors to protect them from splatter paint and dirt due to increased traffic in our home. He even came back to make sure everything was clean! I have no hesitation in recommending this company again and again. This is the second time we have used them and they did not disappoint! We are so happy with the colors we chose and the workmanship of the team. Thank you NVN Painters!

The owner was the one who came out to quote the job, walked me through everything, and gave clear recommendations instead of trying to upsell me. Super professional, on time, and easy to communicate with the whole way. The detail in the work is what really stood out. The cut lines were clean, edges were sharp, and everything looked smooth and evenno drips, no sloppy spots, no missed areas. They took the time to properly prep (patched, sanded, caulked where needed), protected the floors and furniture, and kept the space clean every day before leaving.

Well, I'll start with long story short: NHV Painters provided excellent customer service and an excellent interior paint job for my LR/DR/Hallway for a reasonable price. I highly recommend them! Now for the details: Zach was my customer service contact. He was very responsive, kept me apprised of scheduling and dealt with any last-minute changes seamlessly. Rafael and David did the paint work. Their work is amazing. This is an old house with lots of evidence of poorly done taping and painting in the past. Also, I had recently had a lot of electrical work done and there were many areas that required wall repair. They went over all the walls and did a great job of retaping, repairing, and overall prep work. Everything is now smooth. They did an amazing job of clean up every day and that's a lot of work! And they did a great job of painting! And up until the room was inspected by Gonzalo they were doing little finishing touches just to make sure everything was 100% perfect. Gonzalo, the project manager, did the final walk around with me. He wanted to make sure everything was satisfactory and made it clear that I could call in the future with any concerns. Overall, this is one of the best companies I've worked with. I will work with them again and I HIGHLY recommend them!

Overall NHV crew and managers worked hard on painting the exterior of our home. There were some details that we wished we had known/been prepared for, and the project took much longer than we had been told/expected, and at the tail end of the season, leaving us worried about the final product standing the test of time. Details below. We met with Joe for an estimate at the beginning of October and, even though painting would not begin until October 21st, we were told weather was not a problem, a crew could be pulled together easily, and the project would be completed within a couple weeks, by Halloween. Once work began, there was one crew member most days here by himself working long hours slowly making progress. Daily updates from Jesus, our Project Manager, via email and text were excellent and communication with managers/crew was consistent and easy, but the project dragged and small details kept needing to be addressed. After the project passed the two week mark, we requested they allocate more people to finish up soon as temps were quickly dropping (November 5th at this point). While the crew and managers were helpful, attentive, respectful, and worked hard, we were disappointed that the bulk of the work was done by 1-2 people on an inconsistent basis and took a month from start to final walk through with Gonzalo on November 21st. Ultimately we are proud of the finished product and hoping it looks great for years to come.

I signed a written contract with this company for exterior painting work. After everything was agreed to, the consultant contacted me saying he had undersold the job and could not complete the project at the contracted price. The scope of work never changed. I declined to renegotiate the price because we already had a signed contract. Based on my experience, this company did not honor the original agreement. Be cautious of this pattern when working with them. Edited to respond to the owner: I did file a complaint (solely to make the DCP and BBB aware of these actions and to ensure that, if others have similar issues, those complaints can be compiled) and I did initiate a chargeback because I no longer felt comfortable working with this company. This is the sole reason I posted this review, so other consumers are aware of this practice. No one from the company reached out to try to rectify the situation. I asked to speak to a manager, and although the operations manager was included on the email thread, they never responded. As for being held to the contract, I have the voicemail that was left for me, which clearly stated that my only options were to cancel the job or pay more money. That is a dishonest business practice. NHV can present the situation however they choose, but there was never any attempt made to resolve this with me. In fact, I even received a phone call asking me to complete a survey because the job had been marked as completed, even though no work was ever done.

Ghosted. I received a quote for a project and when they did not follow through on extending the contract via email as Joe said he would, I reached out. The company. said I told himI wasnt interested. I had not. Considering that I called and emailed several times I think it was clear that I was interested. Joe Baldelli is who I worked with so I would be careful if you end up having him as a project consultant because he will tell you one thing and then do another. Calling in clarifying any miscommunication, clearly didnt help either. It was a complete waste of time. Thanks for getting back, Glenn. So what you are saying is if you feel that you cannot help a perspective client then your team should lie to them and let them know they will send out a contract. If your company was not competent enough to handle the project, say that! Don't string clients along and then try to diminish their concerns about legitimate issues. In reply to your response, if Joe felt that way then he should have communicated that instead of having the company string me along. Trying to diminish my experience with your company by speaking on my online reviews (not all of which are one star or have anything to do with getting my way) is a poor business practice and in poor taste.

We recently worked with Oscar Diaz from New Haven Painters and we couldnt be happier. Oscar and his team were very respectful of our property. They covered everything that we had left in our sunroom. They worked with us for objects we could not move. They were here promptly at 8:00 am everyday he explained what he was doing each day. He is a very skilled painter and fixed areas of our ceiling that was damaged. Very happy with Oscar and his team and will be using NewHaven Painters again for other projects.
