Used Mr. Handyman for several small projects including mounting a tv to the wall, drywall repair and painting and installing baby gates. All work was done efficiently and with attention to detail. Cost was slightly higher than another company but well worth it. I will be using this company again in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone needing a handyman.

Our mother passed away, and my brother and I are not very handy, so we called this company for help an estimate for the front door. Daniel our service man said it was gonna to take an hour 1 to fix what was broken. It turns how he literally unscrewed 2 things in 5 minutes and charged us 300 dollars for it. He left without saying anything. I understand theres money to make but honesty and transparency wouldve been fantastic instead of lying to our faces. Its honestly our fault, because it was something so simple, but being lied to about the length of the project while I went to go buy the new handle in Fburg is infuriating. I just hate being lied to, and I wont use this company again. Thank you Daniel. I pray you have better morals in the future.

Our storm door was repeatedly damaged by high winds because it would not close properly. William at Mr. Handyman fixed the damaged door but went the extra mile to find a way for the door to remain closed when it had refused to do so before. William tried several remedies that did not work, then added shims and sealer to a lower hinge to adjust the doors closing in a way nobody else had considered. It worked and confirmed Williams long experience and willingness to fix a problem that had dogged us for years. Whats not to like? Robert T

Had a bad experience with this company. The eventual work result was good, but Ill explain the experience. Estimation: they initially sent an estimate at $320 to replace two pieces of facia siding on the edge of my roof that blew off (they were in good shape and needed to be reattached). I sent photos of the work needed to include multiple focal lengths. They didnt show the first day causing me to take another day of leave. This was due to light sprinkles in the morning which I understand for safety. They scheduled a Wednesday to do the work to which I took an additional day off work. The guy came unprepared as none of the photos by the estimator were provided , was clearly a two person job, and didnt have a ladder tall enough. That evening the price rose to $427. Reluctantly, I agreed as the estimate was just an estimate. The guy rescheduled an additional day due to not having another tech to help him. The final day they showed up 45 mins past the appointment window and provided a third quote of $589 dollars stating it was a two person job. As anyone would be shocked at the third increase in price, I became suspicious and felt I was being hustled for more money. I called the office and they apologized and asked if I would agreed to the second quote and provided a $50 coupon bringing the price down to $413. My issue is the dodgy quote processes and how others may get taken by companies willing to see how far they can push things. The unpreparedness, lack of company communication/process. Bottom Line: Dodgy floating estimates, unprepared workers, and unreliable schedules. The job is done, the quality seems good, but I dont trust them. I definitely wont use this company again, and I would not recommend them.

If anyone is looking for a company to fix/repair/ install anything please contact Mr Handyman. We are an elderly couple who can't afford or perform any home repairs. Mike from Handyman not only made repairs, but he made sure everything was OK. I asked questions, he checked on my concerns and assisted immediately. Handyman is on our speed dial. Can't say enough about the company.... We are so pleased. Thank you Mike!

I needed a 'hand" getting gutter guards installed, and William was able to help me with that. The job was completed in one day, and the workmanship was very good. I'm going to call again when I've got a job I need some help with. Highly recommended!

I chose Mr Handyman based on it's reviewed. They were prompt in their response and sent Mike out to give me an estimate. He finished the work the same day. I am very happy to get this done. It was basically little things, but a big improvement for me. Mike couldn't have been nicer. I like service people who talk about their children.

New review, posted September 21, 2025 Mr. Handyman continues to provide great customer service! They are always accommodating when scheduling home visits for estimates on time and labor/parts costs for particular work. This time around, their technicians Richard and William did an outstanding job completing in a timely manner a number of tasks that have significantly helped my home improvement. Richard and William are both skilled handyman with a number of years of experience! They completed the following: 1. Removed/replaced current dryer vent with a birdcage cover; 2. Thoroughly cleaned gutters on the back and front of the house; 3.. Caulked all interior door jambs and the bottom of the jambs to the hardwood flooring; 4. Stripped paint from the bottom trim of all 15+ windows; painted two coats of paint, primer and top coat; and 5. Repositioned washer and dryer in the laundry room. SUMMARY: Regardless of the task at hand, they were very meticulous and thorough . . . They definitely exceeded all expectations and completed entire workload on time for a reasonable price. Thank you Mr. Handyman!! Mr. Handymans service representative / technician arrived to our home to do a survey for required labor / parts and provided a cost estimate. Then he returned on another day to complete the required work. He was very punctual and professional. He did an excellent job on caulking two bathtubs and caulking and painting a kitchen pantry! Overall, Mr. Handyman of Fredericksburg was a pleasure to work with, they were accommodating regarding scheduled arrivals and sent an outstanding technician to do great work at a reasonable cost! Wonderful! Got that chirping sound that smoke alarms make..one upstairs and one in the basement. Ive recently had major surgery, and knew that ladders were not happening. Called and they came within an hour! Batteries changed out-no more chirps! So grateful.
