We had an issue with a sinking porch in our backyard. Mr. Handyman quickly sent out their technician, Tyrone, to do an assessment of the situation. He provided a comprehensive analysis of the issue with a practical plan and excellent price point. Tyrone came to fix the issue and did a phenomenal job on fixing the issue, including spending additional time to ensure the problem was fully resolved. I highly recommend this business!

Cant speak for other Mr. Handyman locations/technicians, but Michael at this location is why I gave one star.. not only did he have a contentious interaction with a family member, but his body language was awful when he made it to my home. He seemed more concerned with collecting the $88 service fee, while also having an attitude about having to wait 90 seconds for me to answer my door while securing my dog in a back room.. I apologized for not answering timely. Instead of acknowledging my statement, he went into asking what I was looking to have done, with his face scrunched up. No introduction.. This may not seem like a lot to some, but as someone that works in the customer service field your introduction is everything. All I have from that interaction is a $94 debit for the service fee, so I might as well take the time to voice myself for the inconvenience.

Jeff Samuel arrived on time, explained everything in the estimate, was very careful in my house, was polite, and professional. I had two projects for him to take care of and I'm very pleased with the results! My shower door no longer lined up and wouldn't close. I was afraid I potentially needed a new shower door. He fixed it instead! He also caulked all crown moulding and around my fireplace. I will definitely ask for him again.

I scheduled this company to install a new storm door and was told I would pay their $88 consultation fee, which they said would be applied toward the final project cost. What they dont make clear is that this only applies if the installation is completed during that same day appointment. On the day of the appointment, I learned that if they cant do the work right thenwhether because the door is the wrong size, missing parts, or any other issuethey keep the $88 and do not apply it to the project when they return. In other words, if they have to come back, you end up paying the consultation fee on top of the installation cost. This was a waste of time. UPDATE: the local operator/owner called me to COMPLAIN to me about the review I left, but offered no solution. I feel this company is all about the $$$. SMH.

This is the second time weve had work done by handyman. Their customer service when scheduling and coordinating the first appointment is first class. Charles was our handyman and he was extremely attentive in making sure our project was done to our satisfaction and communicating all the technical details before starting. I will definitely recommend them for any of your handyman needs. This time was for hanging Christmas lights.

I had an issue with water leaking through my patio door causing damage to the flooring. I appreciate that Michael explained in detail the issue and exactly how it would be repaired. We ran into some bumps along the way so it took longer than expected to complete. I appreciate that he went out of his way to make sure the work was done well instead of cutting corners. I would certainly use their services again.

Brought them out for an estimate, hang a normal TV, cut this piece of turf I have, and assemble a shelf. $1,600..... This is no more than a 2 hour job at best. I don't write reviews often but these guys are way over priced. oh yea $90 to come out as well

I recently asked Handyman of S Charlotte to help out with some small tasks when we bought a new to us home. It quickly became a larger job after an unexpected gas leak and pipe repair that put several holes in our walls. Tyrone was fantastic and fixed all the walls so youd never know! Additionally he removed a fireplace and replaced wall, moved two wall mounted TVs, installed recessed lighting and more! He truly cares about his work. And Barbara was a Godsend, helping to juggle schedules to make sure the work is done. Though they do cost more than the average, its worth it when you want something done right!

3 pendant lights to be hung (electrical connections and outlets already exist) and change 1 outdoor garage light fixture $640. Wow! My initial inquiry was for a longer list and was told the minimum for a job like that would be $260 which sounds reasonable. Then was told the $260 was minimum for any job! I guess thats the price to change a light bulb. Out $95 which is what they charge just to come out!

He completed a variety of repairs inside our home, including removing our old microwave and installing our new one, replacing all the light bulbs in our ceiling fan in the guest bedroom, and replacing two ceiling air filters. He completed all this work perfectly. He is multi-talented as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, and general handyman. We are returning customers at Mr. Handyman, and I always ask for Charles Enyeart when I call them for repair work. The company also sent us photos of his completed work with a receipt of payment. We received outstanding customer service from Charles Enyeart with Mr. Handyman of South Charlotte on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was prompt, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. He completed a variety of repairs inside and outside our home, including replacing all the light bulbs in our kitchen chandelier, replacing the ceiling lights and electronic ballast in our master bedroom closet, replacing three filters, adjusting a new toilet seat, and building two new steps on our sundeck. He completed all this work in the morning before the ice storm that afternoon. He is multi-talented as an electrician, plumber, carpenter, and general handyman. We received outstanding customer service from Mr. Handyman of South Charlotte from the moment we spoke with Tim and Barbara through the completed task with Matthew Doll. Their office immediately scheduled Matthew to visit our home and inspect the damage from the deteriorating sealant around the copper bay window roof, palladium window, three windows around the front door, and two second story windows above the bay window. Matthew inspected all the areas that had leaked into our dining room and foyer during the January 9th thunderstorms and then gave me a detailed description of his repairs. He was on time, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. He did outstanding work removing and replacing the worn out sealant. He also repaired an area on the copper roof that was loose and filled in an area where the wood frame was deteriorating. He advised us to replace part of the exterior wood frame on the bay window and the bottom window frame on the palladium window in about one year. Their office made a notation to contact us at that time and sent us photos of the repairs for our insurance company. We highly recommend Mr. Handyman of South Charlotte for their reliability, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.

I had 12 window screens that birds pecked holes and severlly damaged. I took them in to their office and they replaced fabric material with black aluminum wire. Looks great, invisible looking out, and birds should leave it alone. Starting another repair job next week on home site. Fantastic folks to work with.

The folks at Mr. Handyman were able to schedule a service provider for me same day, as I needed to widen a kitchen cabinet space by half an inch for a combination oven - microwave unit. Mike C. arrived on time and was able to quickly resolve the issue so that the unit could be installed later that afternoon. I will definitely use Mr. Handyman again, given their excellent customer service, communication and professionalism.

Tyrone did a great job on two areas of wood rot on the front of my house. The window rot had come all the way to interior of my home... he came up with a way to fix and looks great. The decorative pillar had been "repaired" twice previously, but Tyrone cut out area and replaced/painted. He is punctual, a good communicator and very meticulous in his workmanship.
