I have used them for over 3 years now because they are consistent. The tech Dave D was so helpful and also knowledgeable about all the outside home repairs. He not only did a great job, he was helpful in answering a few general questions I had. He was able to explain what he was doing to fix it and why, which I find very helpful. He was also extremely punctual, even offered to come to a job early, great communication. Thank you!

My niece recommended Adam after he did several jobs to get their house ready to sell. I needed to have rotted wood removed and replaced on my deck. I also had rot around my back door. Adam showed up early and completed everything in one day. His work ethic is fantastic and I was thrilled with the outcome.

Over time an exterior door had started to rub against the door frame. Mr. Handyman sanded the door slightly, adjusted the hinges and repainted the area. He was finished and all cleaned up in less than 2 hours. The speed and convenience were great and the job was done very well, but it easily cost twice of what it should have been.

I was charged $775 to caulk a shower and to place 12 nails in a piece of trim. Their prices are a rip off. This has to be labor charges which is a joke. Even if you give them $100 for material cost which is generous, that means they charged me $675 in labor. I work with professional welders and the dont make that much a hour. First they said that their people come ready to work. The handyman left to get supplies and was gone for an hour. Stay away from this company

This was the second time we used Mr. Handyman and the service was excellent. David removed an old ceiling fan, replaced it with a new one, removed a chandelier, and fixed some peeling plaster on the ceiling. He was very knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. He also cleaned every square inch of the room when he was done, which was awesome! We will definitely use their services again.

Adam, the technician i interacted with, was thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. He diagnosed and repaired a vent pipe in a timely manner. In total, the work ended up costing 1450 (this included the initial visit, the repair parts, and labor). It's more than I wanted to spend but after weighing my options I decided it was the best option for me.

I called the day before to ask if they could replace a part in my fireplace and already had the part available. We also explained all of the steps that we went through to service and clean the fireplace to try and mitigate the issue ourselves. They confirmed that they would be able to do the replacement and fix the fireplace. I then scheduled them to come out and the technician looked at it for literally a minute or two, said "I don't know how to replace this, so all I can do is rub it down with some sandpaper, that will be 300 dollars." We declined, considering that was already something we had done, as we explained to them the day before, and were still charged nearly 90 dollars for not even five minutes of work. The technician spent more time processing my card then actually looking at the issue. Very frustrated, and feel robbed

i had a terrific experience with Mr. Handyman of Charleston & Summerville. I had 2 small caulking and one brick to re-mortar and the person who came out was on time, and did a nice job. The administrative office was extremely helpful, and there is a 1 year warrantee on the work. However, at 350.00 an hour I doubt I will ever call them again.

Called for an estimate for doing 12 foot of trim molding around my countertops, assuming that it would be reasonable; I got quoted at $375 for an hour worth of work. Dont go with this company unless you have money to blow.

I was in need of a prompt floor repair of a floor/subfloor in a bathroom. Mr. Handyman was the quickest reply to my search, and sent someone out to estimate the repair the same day. Ben was able to do the work on the following week, despite his very busy work schedule, and did a second job for me as well. He was very friendly, took great care with both jobs and I was extremely pleased with the results in both cases. He was always prompt, and did not exceed the original estimates. I would recommend Ben at Mr. Handyman very highly.

they charged me over 1500$ to fix a door and hang a bracketand did not do the job. they just fired the guy who did the work ...Then they backed out of fixing My door, which is the main reason I called them. The other small project was to simply hang two barn doors over the closet... it was a failure also ...a 15 year old couldve done that quick. ..they wanted to pay me $250 to care of their mistake. Julie said sir, we dont do that kind of work so why did they accept the work and take my money? Then hung up on me. Do not trust them. They do not hire good people. They do not do good work. We had toilet seat riser that needed to be replaced. The bolts on the old one were rusted, and it took considerable effort to get them out. But he stuck to the job, got the new one installed, and did a great cleanup afterward. The handyman was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and hard-working.
