They did a great job in fixing my drywall seems and addressing the crown modeling issues as well. They took gear care in placing plastic over my furniture and other belongings, also drop clothes where they were working. So that they didnt get any mud or dust on any thing. Jorge with MJ painting was professional and his crew did a good job. They removed the old popcorn ceiling and added the mud to smooth the ceiling. In the front rooms the crew also painted. Everything was done well. The crew had to remove the popcorn on a vaulted ceiling. They did their best to keep my furniture free of all the dust. They sealed the room to keep any dust from going to the rest of the house. They showed up on time and worked all day. I am getting them to redo the ceilings in the kitchen and sunroom also. After I find the right paint color, I plant to have MJ crew to paint. I am very satisfied with the work.

I have worked with Jorge and his crew on a large commercial property that had a fire in a unit which caused sprinkler system to be set off, causing multiple floors of a large building to have water damage. Repairing what was removed during mitigation included 125 sheets of drywall to be installed/floated/primed. A total of approximately 20,000 square feet of painting was needed and Jorge and his crew worked everyday for 8 weeks straight to get this done for me. Never had any issues and the quality was great! He definitely kept me updated on progress as things got completed since I live in Lafayette 3 hours away and had multiple jobs going on at the same time. Thanks Jorge! Looking forward to working with you again soon on projects in Shreveport.

I called MJ Painting based on the Google reviews. They definitely met and exceeded all the hype! Back story: We remodeled and overhauled an older home, built in 1892 with wood siding exterior. When the house was painted in 2019 during the remodel, we dont think it got a final coat of paint. This led to wood rot and damage. The home has intricate wood detailing that is original to the home which we did not want to get ruined. They hand painted ALL of the detail wood work. MJ Painting called me back almost immediately after the initial inquiry. He set up a time to look at the project before discussing any pricing, which is understandable and appreciated. He walked through the process of pressure washing, prepping, priming and paint. We had specific concerns from previous experiences and he addressed them before we could ask. Which was also why we went with MJ Painting. He showed he was knowledgeable, careful to detail and experienced. He kept in contact and updated us on schedules. He showed up when he said. His team was very thorough in their processes. They paid attention to surrounding areas that could get overspray which was much appreciated! Final scope: pressure wash the exterior of the older home; caulk and sand exterior; prep and tape off windows/doors; prime and paint. Paint porch floors and decorative railings; and paint ceilings. Overall, MJ Painting did a fantastic job bringing this lovely old home back to life! Thank you!!!! We absolutely recommend this company for any of your painting needs.
