McCray & Sons is great! Ive used them a few times now for various projects and have been very happy with them. Theyve always been so friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to complicated issues. Warren recently installed a security screen door on our front door. The door is kind of in a weird location in a corner so I was worried that it might not work but he was able to make it work and it looks great! I really appreciate this company and will definitely use them for any future handyman projects!

I was delighted when I called to schedule and got a message informing me the business would be closed for a week for a family reunion. I love that they prioritized personal time for staff! McCray's has been my go to for quite a few years. They have repaired sheetrock in my garage along with other small jobs.. McCrays has installed a new bathroom tollet, New kitchen Range Hood, Cook top & oven and water heater. Two weeks ago they replaced 2 out door gates and fence. Due to an accident that inhibited my mobility I had to have the bathroom modified to accommodate taking a shower. Called McCrays because theyre a local, small business with positive reviews on their fb page. The bid/quote process was streamlined and efficient. I had glass shower doors removed, handicapped bars installed, and a shower wand installed. Mason showed up on time and was very respectful, knowledgeable, and efficient. I especially liked that he left the work area as clean as he found it, since Im unable to do that right now. The entire job, from beginning to end, was very smooth and professional. If you need a handyman in West Sac, McCrays is the one to call! 5 star Service!

I hired McCray and Sons to remove a chandelier and install a ceiling fan in our vaulted ceiling. The project also required boxing out the ceiling with wood and drywall to ensure the fan would be properly supported. The estimate provided was close to $500, which I initially thought was reasonable. When the team arrived, they removed the chandelier and installed the fan but did not box out the ceiling as described in the estimate. When I inquired about this, they assured me the fan would hold without the additional work. However, after installation, I noticed the fan was wobbly. The team spent some time trying to fix the wobble, but it was never fully resolved. Despite this, they considered the job complete. Later, I received a bill for the full estimated amount, despite the work not being completed as outlined. After disputing the bill, they agreed to a partial reduction. Unfortunately, I am still left with an incomplete job and a wobbly fan. While I see many positive reviews, my experience suggests that they may not always follow the agreed-upon work and could potentially charge for work not fully performed. To address the issue, I called another electrician who installed four fans for $400, all of which are functioning properly. Your technicians left stating that they had completed the work to the best of their ability. However, if the work had been performed as quoted, I would not have a fan that wobbles. I provided the fan box for installation and specifically instructed your technicians to ensure that the opening was boxed out so the fan box would be level. Unfortunately, this was not done as requested, yet your company still attempted to charge nearly $500 for an improper installation, claiming it was the best they could do. Only after I called to complain about the poor workmanship and the incorrect invoice, and after raising the same concerns with your secretary as I did with the technician, was there a willingness to lower the cost of the invoice. Following this, I was informed that I would no longer be serviced by your company. I have no issue taking my money to a company providing better service.
