We do high end remodels and custom new builds, used Marek before for sheetrock/tape/texture and they did a good job. BUT this last job they did for us was an absolute nightmare! They were not organized, didn't communicate at all, tried charging more than what was agreed, were very unprofessional. We showed them the job before starting and were very transparent on the work we needed. Good luck getting ahold of what they call a project manager named Seve aka Junior. Seve was never at the job site, and it took 4 texts and 3 phone calls and reaching out to a manager to get him to respond. He did not manage his guys and the workmanship showed, or lack there of. The sales guy John Berrettini will sale you lies, watch out for this slippery guy. We paid extra for level 4 and were told we did NOT need texture at all and all the Highland park/PrestonHollow homes were doing level 4 like this. Well, when I spoke with a senior administrator "50 years in the business," he told me we needed texture with level 4(which contradicts the point of level 4 smooth walls), and contradicts his head sales person John Berrettini. There was no communication when guys were coming, no final walk thru, they did not even tell me they were finished. They just went ghost and threatened a lien. Probably because they were not finished, then when I pointed it out that they were not finished, they tried charging me more. With leadership from the top down being so unprofessional, unorganized, poor workmanship, we would never recommend marek for anything. The pictures attached speak for themselves!
