I got 5 quotes for our bathroom renovation project. Lux was not the cheapest, but they were very competitive, and the most professional and thorough of the candidates. I called 3 references and all of them spoke very highly of their experience with Lux. I told one of them, who was active in real estate, that I was looking for someone who was fanatical about quality and didn't leave the punchlist half done. He replied, "That's exactly why Lux is my first choice." Our project scope grew to include kitchen work, and complexities arose involving plumbing and the furnace, but Ivan and Ned and team didn't bat an eye, even bringing in their own space heaters while the furnace was being replaced. As we kept in touch via text through all the changes, Lux responsiveness was virtually instantaneous throughout. Working through invoicing clarifications was civil and fair. This was a one month project that grew into a three month project, and the partnership I felt with the Lux team never once got off track. The photos won't tell the story of how we fought through obstacles together, but suffice it to say our expectations were met and exceeded, and we are very pleased with the results.

I could not be more pleased! Ivan Koconda takes great care in choosing the people with whom he works. Everyone is highly professional. Take his advice for the click lock method of floor installation. It is faster, less work, far less mess, and excellent results. The details and care of the work are seen in the finished product. I was concerned about the pullout drawers under the kitchen cupboards. The kitchen furniture was standing on the old floor which was taken out. A slight shift of weight to the floor over the years could change the space for the new wood. Not a worry. There is no tugging, just an easy slide. Renovations done by others, never seem to finish. The crews were there on time, ended the day at buildings required time, and finished in a timely manner. The 1400 square foot apartment floor work was completed in 8 working days, baseboard installment and its painting included. If you are worried about getting all necessary buildings papers for this work, Ivan does all that. A big headache less for me. Dream teams, excellent work of professionals and beautiful results! When we bought our home, in the lower level there was a make-shift DIY kind of "bathroom", which included a light bulb and a shower head. Of course, who would use a shower with sheetrock walls and a bare bulb hung from floor joists? I contacted two reputable contractors to convert it to a safe bathroom according to state regulations. Neither company was interested and said it would take too much money and work to do so. They were not interested in even offering a high-end bid. Ivan looked at it and said he could do it! Result: a GREAT bathroom with a ceiling, light fixture, improved floor drain and best of all, superb tiled walls and floor. It not only transformed the space and provided us with a beautiful bathroom that certainly will add marketable value to our home.
