I hired J. Ross Painting and Drywall to complete the drywall installation for the walls and ceiling of my 26 x 28 shop at my home, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Although their residential crew was fully booked, they were able to fit me in with their commercial team. From the start, Charlie, the project manager, was outstanding. He stayed closely involved throughout the entire process and consistently checked in to make sure I was satisfied at every stage of the project. During the job, the drywall supplier accidentally damaged a small concrete post that secures part of my fence. Without me even bringing it up, Charlie immediately committed to having it repaired. That level of accountability and customer care really stood outit was clear they genuinely wanted me to be 100% satisfied not just with the work, but with the overall experience. The drywall work itself was done flawlessly. The finish quality was excellent, and everything was completed professionally and on time. Im extremely happy with both Charlie and J. Ross Painting and Drywall. In fact, I was so impressed that Ive already hired them again for interior painting in my home. I would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation.

I hired J. Ross to stain my log home. Fronando and Fish did a meticulous job. The house looks great. I chose a stain with an additive that would keep the boring bee's away. Hopefully that works. I see them flying around already, and so far, I don't see any of them entering the logs. Will defiantly recommend J Ross.

Had a sales rep come out and do an estimate for a home interior 1232sqft house. During the estimate I made sure to disclose we have already bought all the paint and it was a premium paint that wouldnt need a primer coat. I was also instructed by the worker that before they paint I would need to take all nails out and fill in all holes and sand them down. Then when I received the quote for $8100 am some change, it had in there that they would be taking out nails filling in holes and sanding them, putting a primer coat down and then two coats of paint. I was recommended by my realtor to use this company and when I told them how much they wanted to charge for the house we just bought the realtor was shocked and said thats crazy because they have never paid that much and use them a lot. On top of that I had asked if they provide a military discount and was told they did but wasnt on the estimate. When I called them to confirm that I wasnt going to use them as a painter I was told they would send someone else out to do a estimate and they did and then the first estimate guy called me to tell me the estimate was Pennies off his besides the military discount the other guy gave me. Which made the estimate actually hundreds off his estimate. They are just up charging by for some reason. So before you get a estimate go to Home Depot or Lowes go to the paint department they have a bunch of local painting companies. Oh and I also asked if they give a discount for a multi house as I would need my old house painted and worked on after we finish the move.

More importantly, they committed to an extremely tight timeline as we required the painting to be done ASAP. Not only did they hit this timeline, but they hit it even with the snowstorm costing them a few days. Great company and 100% will do business with them again.

J. Ross Painting and Drywall. In three words, disappointing but adequate. We found the company via an AI search for reputable, competent and ethical professionals in the field. Despite J. Ross being a high bidder, we hired them for exterior painting of features of a brick home and some minor interior drywall repair and painting because their thoughtful salesmen inspired confidence in representing their timelines, quality and minimal need for oversight by the customer due to their experienced crews and assigned project manager. Some of their work as excellent and they were generally pleasant to work with. But we experienced a late start and a long completion time not helped by regularly discovering harder to detect but significant incompletions/quality issues, incidental property damage that was not disclosed until discovered by the customer and multiple paint splatters and incomplete clean up. They delayed the promised start, the job took weeks longer than expected and required a high degree of customer oversight. The project management in our experience was more focused on customer wrangling than quality and satisfaction assurance. Some of their incidental property damage was understandable and corrected after being pointed out by the customer, such as some broken glass on exterior lights and paint splatters. Some was careless, such as wearing black soled boots on a white flat roof; insufficiently masked and protected: flashing, windows and brick surfaces; rinsing paint buckets and brushes under landscaping and standing on a hot tub cover as a painting platform to name several. The caulking, a key and harder to detect aspect of the job, the critical importance of which was emphasized repeatedly by the customer, was done well in many visible areas, but not as well or absent in others, particularly those harder to reach windows. The ceiling drywall repair was masterful. The prep and painting of surfaces varied from excellent to amateur (a steel staircase). The carpentry subs were excellent. To their credit, realizing after customer complaints, that they had not always lived up to expectations and what they indicated were their own standards, they were apologetic, particularly the salesman, and each time the customer directly addressed the failings and new discoveries they acknowledged them took steps to correct and mitigate them. But the time required by the customer to address the issues was substantial. Many hours. The customer never heard directly from the owners or top management. Ultimately they made good on the work, sending one of their best men to the job to complete and remediate. Still the customer did not get close to what they thought they were paying for. This rating reflects that unexpected friction and deep disappointment with value for dollar. This customer expects they will learn from this episode and do better in the future, perhaps they have been a victim of their own success with more work than they can handle efficiently and effectively with the promised quality. We wish them well in the future.

We had a flood at our Church in March (2025). After ALL DRY dried our church out (and they were amazing), we had J. Ross Painting & Drywall come in and replace the sheetrock that ALL DRY had removed, paint and replace baseboard. I have used JRoss' services since they opened for business. They have completed drywall and painting projects for my commercial and residential properties. They did an excellent job on all three projects. I am a very picky person and expect perfection. JRoss has never let me down and they are always professional. I had a commercial building constructed for my business. The builder grade interior paint job was subpar. Roughly 5 years ago, JRoss repainted both levels of the building without disrupting business. They carefully coordinated each space so that we could operate as normal during the project. The end result was amazing. JRoss painted the exterior of my current home about 4 years ago. We have owned the house since 1998. I didn't know our house could look this good! Excellent job! We recently purchased a home and did an extensive remodel. JRoss did some drywall and painted the entire interior of the home and garage. They were very accommodating and worked around my other contractor's schedules.
