I've been using Dave and "the Boys" for a long time. They always deliver what they promise, and more. they are magicians in both ability and speed. One house we had to sell, they had to cover (my daughter's bedroom) walls that were purple and pink stripes. I still don't know how they did it--and in just 2 days. They have painted, and they have stained, and are remarkable at matching existing colors in both. I'll never go anywhere else

As other reviews have mentioned, it is the prep work that I am most impressed with. Goodson came in to repair and paint the ceilings of our 100+ year old home. Our plaster walls have had many patch jobs over the years and it was time for a refresh. I am so happy with the result and they look brand new. Exterior (October 2021) Painting is an iceberg project with the painting itself being the tip of the iceberg. Underneath is all the preparation and cleanup work. Removing old paint, repairing and preparing the surface for painting, and applying primer is the real work of a painting project. So, it was my great fortune to find Goodson Painting. Led by Dave Goodson, this team of professionals had the skills and experience to resolve any unanticipated problem they uncovered once theyd begun preparing the exterior of our house for painting. They hand-sanded louvered shutters, the ceiling of our porch, soffits, and window frames - removing decades of DIY repairs from previous owners. Whats more, they had all the necessary tools and materials to complete the repairs prior to painting - even replacing an old shutter hinge and a rotting soffit. Dave Goodson made this the easiest, most stress-fee painting project Ive ever undertaken because I only had to choose the colors. Interior (December 2021) Any project in our 90-year old townhouse has a few surprises. This is particularly true when painting because you really dont know the condition of the surfaces until you start to remove the old wallpaper and paint. So, we werent surprised when our interior painting project became an interior restoration project. Fortunately, we had engaged Goodson Painting to do the work. We had a lot of cracks in the plaster where the house had settled, pulling away from the common firewall, lots of deteriorated plaster that turned to dust, and a previous repair of a doorknob hole in the wall that revealed itself. But the major work involved a repair in the living room ceiling below the 2nd floor toilet (that we discovered had been repaired at least twice before) and two ceilings near collapse as the plaster was pulling away from the lathe. Amazingly, the Goodson Painting team (Dave, Dan, and Geoff) never missed a beat. In addition to all the extensive prep and finish work they built two new ceilings and repaired the gaping hole in our living room ceiling. I am convinced they can repair anything. Nothing phased these guys; they enjoyed the challenge. Their workmanship on the repairs and painting is excellent - matching colors and painting crisp, clean lines where the ceilings meet the walls. Our home looks better than new. Given the extent of the restoration and painting, it took several weeks to complete five rooms and a two-story hallway in our home. The Goodson Painting team always showed up on time and left the house broom-clean. They are friendly and trustworthy and we always felt comfortable having them in our home. If the Goodson Painting team had not been able to make the necessary repairs and we had to coordinate and schedule separate contractors to complete the repairs, this project would have taken months instead of weeks. This has been one of the best service experiences weve ever had. Goodson Painting is serious painters for serious work.
