I consider myself to be a very fair person over all.Just over two years ago we demo'd our kitchen, living room and dining room down to the studs.I contracted with Fayette Dry wall to come in and hang new drywall, FINISH, prime and paint in all three rooms. It looked good until about 3 months ago. I noticed seams started to show cracks, tape on joints surfacing through finish work in many areas that they worked on. These discrepancies are noted in several areas of kitchen, living room, dining room and ceiling. I called just last week and explained the problems we were noticing. Fayette sent out one of their representatives to take a look. After spending approximately 30 mins at the house and examining the failed drywall work, the representative suggested it could be due to various possibilities: House shifting (I BEG TO DISAGREE. HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1974 AND IS SOLID AS A ROCK. ALL OTHER ORIGINAL DRYWALL THROUGHOUT THE HOME IS SOLID!!!!) He also suggested it could be that the wrong tape and or mud was used, another suggestion was that may the screws used to hang the drywall were sunk too deep into the drywall allowing for moisture to get in (not sure I understand that one???), and finally did state that what he was looking at was poor workmanship and that Fayette does not accept that quality of work. He asked me what the names were of the drywall hangars, finishers and of the employee that hung the framing in the ceiling - of course I had no idea what their names were. As he left he said he would report back to the Boss what he saw. I received a text later that afternoon that Fayette would not honor any of the workmanship for repairs. This is not the first renovation I have had done over the years completed by various drywall contractors and NEVER, NOT ONCE have I ever had drywall fail like this especially only after 2 years. If you have a drywall project and you want it to look good for approximately 2 years YOU MAY consider this contractor. IF YOU WANT IT TO LOOK GOOD FOR LONGER THAN 2 YEARS YOU MAY WISH TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. FAIR, BALANCED AND UNAFRAID

We had a leak in the living room which left us with a large hole in the ceiling and wall. They came out quickly and had a quote within 24 hours. We also decided to have them finish our drywall in the basement. They were extremely prompt and reliable. Work looked great. Barely knew they were in the house and would highly recommend.
