My husband and I try to thoroughly research a contractor before we commit. We've found some excellent craftspeople over the years. On occasion, we have a "miss". As a result of just such a "miss" a substantial section of ceiling and some of the wall in our garage had to be opened up for repair of an internal system. The team that did the job was not gentle with the drywall demolition. It was a hatchet job! Fortunately, our search for a drywall expert was totally on target. The reviews indicated that Wes had been called in on several repairs. This was important to us. Not everyone has the patience to correct somebody else's mess. We have not primed and painted the repair yet, but we are in awe of the quality of Wes's work. My husband is concerned that we won't be able to prime thoroughly because the finish skim coat is so smooth and opaque. And speaking of messes, Wes doesn't leave any. He cleans up as he goes and leaves the work area clean for the next day. As good as the work is, the 'cherry on top' is Wes himself. It's hard to overstate the pleasure of working with a craftsman that is honest, direct, and a really nice person. We feel good about the whole experience and plan to ask him back to work on our house. It's 115 years old and needs a 'Wes-facelift'!

We highly recommend the work of Wes Schenkel, owner of Drywall Express. Wes recently completed a new wall and significant patches to existing drywall where obsolete furnace vents were removed and he made a highly textured ceiling become smooth. His work is so good that it is impossible to see where the patching and repairs were. He maintained a clean and safe work site and left everything in good shape for the painters. Additionally, is is a very approachable and easy to work with contractor. If we ever need drywall work, Wes will be the person we call.
