Although communication was poor most of the time and there were indications that they were not that experienced at the work contracted for, the main problem was that they failed to apply for the required permits and after they acknowledged it they did not get the after-the-fact permits they said they would do. They also kept asking me for payment early for the contractors and in the end told me that they still had not paid one contractor a fairly significant amount of money. It has been almost a month since they said they would get the required permits. The company is now not returning communications. I would never deal with this company again as I'm now apparently stuck trying to get after-the-fact permits which will likely require me to remove my center island in the kitchen and the backsplash, all at significant cost as well as pay fines for the permits not being applied for when the work was being done. I have no idea at this point if the work is even done to code and will pass an inspection. I sure hope it is, but I fear it may be why permits were not done in the first place.

Ive worked with Omar at Crescent Remodeling on a couple of projects, and Ive been very happy with the experience both times. The first project was for my personal home, where they installed new carpet. The pricing was fair, the work was done on time, and the quality was excellent. What really stood out to me was that I never felt like I was being sold anythingit felt genuinely consultative, which I appreciated. The second project was more challenging and involved one of my rental properties. Omar and his team removed damaged wood flooring, installed new flooring, and took the time to identify the root cause of the issue. They traced the damage back to a leak at the door threshold, which helped prevent future problems rather than just covering up the damage. Overall, great communication, solid workmanship, and an honest approach. I wouldnt hesitate to work with Omar and Crescent Remodeling again and would gladly recommend them to others.
