Excellent work! I would strongly recommend him to anyone embarking on their next dream home project. My husband and I had been dreaming of a study saturated in a single color using an IKEA built-in hackbut we were genuinely worried that painting IKEA furniture would turn into a nightmare. We were so fortunate to find Jay at Covell & Sons. Jay was easy to work with, punctual, competitively-priced, professional, careful, and incredibly tidy throughout the entire project.

Jay and his team are really good. They painted the exterior of our building with extra care. I am so happy and appreciated their hard work. Jay is a genuine guy, he pays attention to detail. We recently bought a new home and hired Jay to paint the entire inside. Him and his team did an excellent job. As first time home owners, we are new to all this house stuff and I really appreciated how Jay took his time walking me through the home and explaining everything when he came to give a quote. He is extremely knowledgable about his craft and helped me make decisions about what would be best for our budget and taste. Jay and his team were professional and did the job in exactly the amount of time he estimated (despite a crazy cold spell and subzero temperatures!). We are thrilled with the final outcome -- the freshly painted walls look beautiful and we will definitely hire Jay again!!

absolutely do not recommend didn't scrape peeling paint so you could peel the new paint off with your fingertips and the paint peeled off in less than 5 months; they didn't wait for primer to dry so white cracks are showing through the paint; employees weren't supervised and had no painting experience (guy was teaching painter who only spoke spanish in english how to paint, which is why my windows were caulked improperly); didn't receive all materials I paid for (paint, wood); Jay bullied me into illegally burning pressure treated wood in my lawn before I fired him; over a year later I'm still fixing his damage. they spilled paint on my interior walls and floors even though the scope was exterior only, workers smoked inside my house and ashed on floor horrible job, horrible to work with, severely damaged my house best case scenario would've been for jay covell to just take my money and not show up

Jay was able to take care of my deck in 1 day (sanding and staining) instead of the 2-3 days I was quoted by a different company. Everything looks great! I plan on using him for future projects

Jay gave us a very fair estimate on stripping and staining our deck. He and his team showed up right away. Very thorough job that included replacing some boards. Completed the whole job in a short amount of time. Great communication, deck came out better than expected. We highly recommend this company!

Jay and his two workers really knew what to do. They painted my dining room, repaired my tray ceiling taping and also some settlement cracks in the walls; moved the furniture, covered the fixtures and the floors. They were efficient and professional, I've never seen anything like it. Jay came with his crew and when he had to leave, he checked in with them by phone several times and also came back periodically to check up on all of the work; and handled the taping repair himself. He remained courteous, professional, and efficient throughout. We considered several different painting contractors in the area and he made the best impression on us and we are so pleased that we chose Covell and Sons, really an excellent job.

Received an unsolicited objectifying message from Jay on Instagram. I am always willing to have a friendly respectful convo, but when your opener is misogynistic harassment and then I see that youre also following a handful of my younger friends and students, just yikes... so I sent an understanding message giving the benefit of the doubt, politely explaining the line of work I am in and how to differentiate who might be open to this type of interaction and why its inappropriate to interact with myself and more importantly my younger colleagues and students in this manner, and opened the floor for further conversations and questions from him. He chose not to take accountability or express any indication he intended to change this behavior, so I am choosing to share this publicly. Maybe quit creeping on girls with fathers and grandfathers your age, hope this is a learning experience. Also, since you used your business and family associated account to send this message, I noticed you might want to check your auto response on Instagram, it says you have 41 years of experience poop painting which means youve been an adult working in your industry since long before I was born btw...
