In addition to being extremely skilled at his craft, Steve is also a strong communicator and conducts his work quickly and quietly without sacrificing quality. He makes sure to clean up when he completes his work. I would happily hire Corwin again for any future projects.

They were subcontracted by my contractor to do the framing and drywall for a basement job. The first 3 weeks and basically 90% of the work had been ok. The last 4 weeks have been nothing short of miserable. There was one area or ceiling left to finish which I paid the day they were allegedly done. That was a terrible move on my part because they were not done at all and left the ceiling an unfinished mess. This isn't even getting into the $6000 in overages they charged me for work that was agreed upon before the job even started. Yes, there was some additional work that was requested as the job progressed. But when I saw the newly updated quote with an additional $6k, I was shocked. But after some discussion and a few hundred dollars knocked off, I still paid them their balance only to be sitting here weeks later with an unfinished portion of ceiling and a newly noticed not plum window opening that Corwin tried to say they were not at fault then tried to blame their laborers. Now fast forward to late last week when I spoke to the owner who agreed to pay me back a sum of money that we agreed upon due to the issues at hand. I then get an email telling me their lawyer will reach out to me. What an absolute joke of a company and I will gladly take this to court. 2nd update to the response on 6/15/23, by Corwin: Way to delete your original response to my review, you should have left that up for posterity. Let me go down the list of the issues that occurred: Timeline: This is taken directly from your contract: Target Completion: The amount of days the contractor needs to finish this project and it's entirety is 2 1/2 weeks. The basement was turned over to Corwin on 5/4/23 for completion of drywall and mudding. I paid Corwin all the money owed on 6/3/23 (well past target completion date). Steve was supposed to be finished this day as he told me that morning and demanded payment and I paid. When I looked at the work on 6/3/23 after Steve left, the work was not done to it's entirety as I was told it was going to be. It wasn't until 6/7/23 that an employee of Corwin showed up and didnt have the proper materials nor the proper tools to do the job. He also destroyed one of my folding chairs that he was using to stand on so he could mud and sand the ceiling. At this point, I just wanted the repairs fixed and Corwin done with their part. But every time I spoke with Steve it was "I'll send my guy". Never Steve. After I made my last payment he never once stepped foot in my house, which would have solved all of this. Instead he hid behind having "his guy" do awful work instead of just taking a day or two to finish the job. Speaking of damage. I almost forgot, did Steve ever tell you about the broken spigot in the basement that the Corwin employee broke while he was using it and he tried to blame my 70 year old mother for breaking? Here is a list of issue after Corwin was "done" and paid. Framing on west window was bowed up in center area in 2 places. Framing was off by 34 of an inch. Sill not level (wavey) West window upper was not square, plumb or level Framing was off by 1 14 inch Areas of patching that were not sanded completely Dents in the drywall on center soffit Missing register area not sanded Incomplete sanding on stairway wall upper and mid corner Bathroom shower corner not patched or sanded Bath fan not sanded All 3 columns had welts, wavy not sanded completely Soffit workout room corner not addressed sanded filled Trim not at site that was paid for in Corwins quote At the end of the day, the amount I am asking for isn't an arbitrary number. I had to pay for all the repairs that Corwin left and obviously didn't finish. And don't threaten me saying that you are the victim of Home Repair Fraud. I paid you for a job that you never completed that I had to pay to someone else to complete. Why don't you call me and we can talk about this instead responding to my posts and having to communicate through an attorney.

Best workmanship and results ever. I got basement dry walling done by Sy and Steve and Im so happy that I got them for the project. I want to underline that not only work was impeccable but overall execution of project was flawless and pain free for me. They were thorough professional and at the same time provided personal care to our need. Sy took care of last minute change and worked extra late to find right door that we wanted for our basement bathroom. Price was done right with clear breakdown of every item and labor cost mentioned in contract.
