Was looking for a company to clean ductwork at my rental house. Needed someone to be able to remove smoke smell that was left over from prior tenant. Called a few places, but decided to pick Carolina Conditions. When Jonathan called me back, I explained to him the situation and what I want accomplished. He met us on site next morning and immediately knew what smell I was talking about and promised me that they will be able to remove it. I had another quote that was cheaper, but somehow Jonathan made me trust him. He sent the team in two day, they were there half a day, cleaned all ducts, vents etc but also the hvac evaporator where they found more proof of the smoking. Cleaned and sanitized, not air freshened! I waited 2 weeks before this review so I can be sure its gone. Two weeks later still smells clean and fresh! Jonathan, Thank you!

Courtney Varn with Carolina Conditions did a fantastic job and was super courteous. Ive used them many times before for duct and dryer cleaning at two different houses. Will hire and recommend them again. 2023 Used them again. Still great job. I have lived next to three houses the burned down, two from a dryer problem. I have two cats and two dogs and run a lot of laundry. So Im super cautious about making sure Lint does not back up in the ducts. I have them come out every year and I will continue to call them back every year. Plus they used to have a real catchy name (Ductz- like quack, quack) so Ive never forgot who they were. 2024 Nothing has changed still great service as other review. well, their prices have gone up but everyones has. So cant fault them there. I will say that they come in with hand equipment Example, a handheld vacuum A very strong, very loud handheld vacuum. But its exactly whats needed. If you hire any other company like Stanley Steamer to do this job They bring in big hoses that are connected to their trucks. Put aside theyre running all that through my house with the door open and scratching the walls. Think about things they could be carrying in from the house before on those hoses. Bedbugs sound familiar! Nope, theyre not coming to my house. Use Carolina Conditions (Duckz) 2025 and 2026 still would recommend

Update 1-24-2022: We have now used Carolina Conditions for more services; electrical, and HVAC installation. Electrical work was done by Jaxon and Colin on 12-13-2021. Definitely five stars! They installed a chandelier in a room with a 20 foot ceiling, not an easy task. They assembled all the pieces, hung it perfectly, then cleaned up and took away trash. Great job. Last week Carolina Conditions installed a new HVAC unit for us. They had difficulty with the tangled old wiring in our house, but figured out and fixed the problems. We love the new unit, job well done, 5 stars again. The job was finished up by Will. He's a very smart young man and we are grateful for his expertise. GREAT JOB. Update 8-17-22: We have had a few service calls after which I have forgotten to leave reviews (all 5 stars!). Today Cameron came for an HVAC service call. He was very professional, fixed the problem, and explained everything well. He gave some helpful information about maintaining our HVAC system with the correct type of filter, etc. Still five stars for Carolina Conditions and for Cameron. Update, 4-25-2023. Sequoyah did an excellent job today. He is a great HVAC technician...fast, polite, neat, very knowledgable. We'll give him 6 stars!!! 9-16-2022. Mak came to our house for routine HVAC maintenance. He did a great job. We continue to be pleased with Carolina Conditions' services! Brian Livingston evaluated a well water issue for us. Great information; Brian is so SMART! Today, 6-20-2025, Jared P. did an HVAC repair for us. 5 stars! He identified the problem almost immediately, and had it fixed within a short period of time. He was quite helpful with some questions I had about HVAC systems. He is a pro! I'm very glad they sent Jared today, and will request him in the future. (He is kind to dogs; my Pug liked him too!) DeWayne and Mak installed an IAQ filter yesterday on our HVAC system. Great job by both of them! We continue to appreciate the great service and knowledgable technicians from Carolina Conditions. 10-9-2025, Terence Hayes did a complete electrical inspection and found a number of issues that were not up to building code in our older home. We are grateful for his expertise which will save us a lot of money in the long run. There were issues that would have been a problem related to insurance if we ever had a fire. We had 3 wired smoke detectors which I assumed did not work at all, but the wiring was fine...just needed new smoke detectors. In case of a fire insurance adjustors would have had a problem with that. So, I would recommend this service to any homeowner. Terence is very experienced and knows his job. He was able to fix everything the same day. Carolina Conditions is lucky to have him! 11-18-2025. Another update. Karen did an HVAC repair for us this week.She is experienced, smart, and diagnosed the problem almost immediately. She had to go across town to pick up a part (we live in a rural area) and came back the same day to finish the repair. Karen is also a good communicator, which is important. Five stars for Karen, she is the BEST! Update 4-9-2026......today was for HVAC maintenance. Sean Lincoln did a great job today, definitely 5 stars. He's very knowledgeable and we appreciate his help! 4-24-26 Sean Lincoln did his usual excellent job today. We had a new HVAC problem, he found the issue, fixed it, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. We appreciate his expertise!

Luis was great. He came in, quickly diagnosed the plumbing issue, and thankfully it turned out to be something minora problem with the putty around the shower drain. While the service call was a bit on the pricey side, it was worth it to have the issue identified and fixed so quickly. What seemed like it could have been a major leak ended up being a relatively simple fix, and Im hopeful that takes care of it for good. Great experience from start to finish. Sean came to service my dying unit and as expected it was either repair or replace. I was presented with many different options and decided to replace an inferior 16 year old 2 ton system with a new 3 ton Heat Pump system and ducting with a 2nd return. This took several days (Friday and a Monday) but they provided window units and charged my dying system to make sure my family was comfortable for the weekend. The installers were friendly, very informative and the work is ten times better than the shoddy job the homebuilders did. CC may not be the cheapest option, but you are getting your money's worth. They are even filing the dominion energy discounts for us on our behalf. Highly recommended and I'll hopefully be contacting back later this year for an HE heat pump water heater.

I am so thankful for David Kirby. He visited us for what was a routine spring checkup as part of our contract. Our experience with Carolina Conditions started off rocky after our first HVAC inspection didn't go as expected. But I've come to believe that how a company handles a failure often says more about them than the failure itself and Carolina Conditions handled it well. Their service manager responded same day, acknowledged the issue without deflection, and committed to making it right. The second technician they sent out was outstanding. He performed a thorough preventative maintenance visit that surpassed the service we had received from our previous HVAC company of several years. He cleaned the heating components, cleaned both outdoor condenser units, and took the time to remove the tops of the units to clear out leaves and debris details that make a real difference in system longevity and efficiency. Companies that show accountability and follow through when things go wrong are worth holding onto. We are glad we gave them the second chance and are confident in our maintenance plan going forward. Highly recommend.

I still get a bit traumatized every time I see a Carolina Conditions truck driving around. You talk about high pressure sale, this went beyond that. The guy who came to my home kept trying to up sale me, despite my efforts to try and keep him on track for the electrical work purpose I called him for and they agreed to. Not only did he not complete the electrical work I called for, he left a portion of it off and tried to get me to pay extra for the last part of the job. That was not the worse part. The worse part was, when I refused his up sale to get other extra service done through, what seem to be an affiliate company or some buddy of his, he called them anyway to come out. Soon after he left I got a knock on my door stating that this guy contacted them to do the work that I told him I didn't want done. He gave out my home address to some company to come and do the work even after I told him that I did not want this extra service. I later called Carolina Condition to informed them that this guy did not complete the job as required, they then sent out a black guy, I am black also (I guess this was supposed to make a difference) to tell me they would not complete the job if I did not give them more money. There was also a second guy standing behind him as though he was some sort of muscle guy. So, to this day, this electrical work yet remains incomplete. I am not a crier by no means, but standing there trying to talk and explain myself to this second guy, I heard my voice crack trying to hold back tears. I was embarrassed from the crack in my voice and devastated at the whole ordeal! Wait, it gets worse. A few days after that, I got a call from their (Carolina Conditions) office, telling me that they were scheduling me for another appointment with their office. Again, trying to schedule me for a Carolina Condition service that I firmly told this guy that I did not want. He had them to schedule the unwanted service any way. Of course I refused. This company was a nightmare!!! This first guy they sent out was either working hard for his bonus or to climb the company ladder at my expense, but either way, I KNOW I did not deseve to be treated like this. I would not trust these reviews- 4119 reviews at an almost 5.0 rating? If it sounds to good to be true... Sounds a bit odd and a part of the high pressure and unethical practices I experienced.

I had a water leak by the water meter where it was starting to flood my yard. I called and Aaron came out on a Friday night right before they close and assessed the situation, gave me a quote and then fixed the leak. He was polite, and very professional.
