I initially called Capitol District drywall to get some repairs done after water damage remediation. TJ came to do the estimate and he was very quick, and listen to my concerns about timing as we were trying to get the house repaired prior to having company over as it was unexpected. He was able to help expedite our estimate which was very reasonable and we had an appointment booked the very next week. Tim came to do the repairs, was very punctual and did a wonderful job. He was respectful of our space and was able to do all the restoration quickly while also ensuring that we were happy with the work being done, overall, we had a great experience. The price was reasonable, and it looks just like before we had the water damage. My husband and I also greatly appreciate how accommodating they were with fitting us in last minute to help get the work done before we had company staying over. (The after picture is before the final sanding/finishing touches as I forgot to snag a picture of the fully completed job.)

EXTREMELY disappointed. The one star is because Anthony was respectful, when he was actually here, but literally that's it. I'd rather have a disrespectful worker who actually did the job well in hindsight. First red flag was when Frank insisted I pay the whole amount up front. After I paid, it was pulling teeth to get anyone to come to do the job. When they did come they worked for only an hour then left saying they have to go to other "bigger jobs." They never once reached out to me. I had to call and text to beg them to come back and finish the job that was already paid for. It became a simple garage finishing job. Literally just mud and paint. However, it took almost 3 months!! I didn't receive a single piece of new drywall anywhere even though it was in the quote. The worker blasted his music which attracted my Karen neighbors to come over and complain. Frank said he would "work with me since I could no longer do what was initially quoted, needless to say he did not. Once the job was finally "completed," Frank came to my garage to see the work and even he knew it was trash. They also painted over my brand new garage floors. He promised to come and correct the many errors himself, and once again another lie. I never saw him again and he didn't do anything but sign the check I gave him. He also kept using the excuse of my job was small. A few thousand dollars might be "small" to him but for me it was a big part of my yearly budget. This business should advertise they only do whatever a " big" job is and not treat people like this. I was duped by the positive reviews. I wish I went with another company. This company specializes in lies, ghosting, and excuses.

After dealing with not one, but two contractors who gave us quotes, agreed to a timeline and then just never showed up or returned our calls, my husband found Capital District Drywall & More on his own. We cannot be more pleased with the work Frank, Todd, Mike, Tom and the rest of the crew did. They transformed four rooms in my 125 year old house with new sheetrock, and a fresh coat of paint. They installed new flooring in one room, put ceiling fans and took out the drop ceiling in another room as well. Walls that were crooked (from a previous owners reno job) are now straight. They did a great job blending the new renovation with the existing charm of my 125 year old house. Even after a month I still marvel at how fantastic everything looks. Frank was professional from the beginning to the end. The crew arrived on time and informed us of what was going on every step of the way. I cannot even begin to tell you how clean they left my house. In all honesty I think they may have done a better job than I do myself. I have a few more projects that need to be done and I will definitely be calling Frank again.

When my eighty-year-old plaster ceiling suddenly began collapsing one night, I began googling ceiling replacement contractors and came across this company. Frank was incredibly responsive and courteoushe and Anthony provided an estimate and began work almost immediately. From the emergency tear-down to the full replacement, painting, and even rewiring and rehanging the fans and lights, they did an absolutely phenomenal job - I couldn't be happier with the results. It looks great, and the clean up and painting was so meticulous that you can't tell they just replaced an entire ceiling. The price was also very reasonable, especially given the sheer amount of work involved, and I'm extremely appreciative of the long hours the crew put in so I could have a habitable, safe home as soon as possible. Everyone on the team was extremely kind and professional throughout the entire process, and clearly took pride in their work. Hopefully I wont need their services again under such urgent circumstances (hopefully no more ceiling collapses in my future!), but if I decide to replace another ceiling, theyll be my first call!

If I could give Frank and his crew 10 stars, I would. They were awesome. Frank is responsive and courteous - he called me the next day after my inquiry, stopped by the house the next day, and we had a quote less than 24 hours later. They started the job less than a week after my initial conversation and were done in 3 working-days. We removed wallpaper from our spare room in our 150 year old home, expecting to find drywall that had been hung at some point after its original build. But what we found was the original plaster in less than ideal shape - it was like looking back in time 150 years, but the plaster had lived a hard life! We didn't want to gut the room or hang drywall over the plaster and lose the original trim relief. Frank came up with a creative and efficient solution that preserved the original "feel" of the plaster and kept the original trim - and we didn't have to gut the room and start from scratch. We couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend and we hopefully will be able to book Frank and his crew for future work as we restore the rest of our old home.

We have a bonus room above our garage that we hung drywall in and needed to hire a company to mud and tape it for us. Frank and his team came highly recommended and helped us even out our DIY project. The price was very reasonable for the amount of time and effort they put into making things look nice. Frank was incredibly responsive and an excellent communicator throughout the project, and his team was very respectful and courteous. They did a fantasitc job cleaning up and a thorough walk through with touch ups before leaving. The finished product looks great! They even said they would come back after we prime the room if there are areas that need to be addressed. Overall, we had a great experience with this group and would gladly hire them again if we have other projects in the future.

Frank and his crew just finished up a big job for us and we couldn't be happier. This was a long distance job which had the potential to add significant stress but Frank went out of his way to make everything as easy as possible for us. We had numerous changes and added various tasks to the job as it got closer and Frank continued to tell us it was no problem and they would handle anything we needed. The job included refinishing floors, adding LVP flooring, repairing and painting walls along with some plumbing and electrical work. Frank was able to handle it all and the end result was beautiful. They do a good job on Sheet rock but if something is wrong and needs to be fixed, they say they are going to fix it and dont show up. This has been going on for months. They were paid so they dont care.

Frank and his team removed popcorn ceilings and redid them so they are as good as new. The popcorn had been painted over in our 32 year old townhouse with cathedral ceilings so this was not an easy process. They also added a fresh cost of paint to all the walls. Because of the way the popcorn was next to the walls they had to cut the painting with a brush near the ceilings. The half bath on the first floor is a different color from the other walls so the wall was cut with a brush but the wall was not painted. Frank said to let him know if it doesnt blend in and he will come back and paint the entire room. His workers were very careful workers and this was evident since we were living in the house while the work was being done. The work redid about 1000 square feet of ceiling. This business is a new one and it is clear Frank is very careful about the quality of work his company is doing. We were very pleased with the results and have already discussed having his company back to modernize the main staircase. You should not hesitate to consider his company for work at your home.
