Welcome to Mr. Alan Boatrights 4th attempt at a drywall and texture company. Why you ask? Let me tell you, prior to this company he ran AB drywall and texturizing LLC and AB drywall corporation. Both went bankrupt at the hands of Mr. Boatright. From what you ask, several customer complaints that spread from the better business bureau to the state of Florida. Also lets not forget to add the upaid workers, unpaid creditors and suppliers. You may have noticed I forgot to metion one company, this one is my personal favorite. Alan Boatright Drywall Inc, this company had more lawsuits than General Motors..... Literally I kid you not. Maybe the abbreviations make sense. The equipment he stills works with was bought by this company and barely paid for ......... Yeah walked away bought new and left bank holding the bag. Yhe multiple customers that were defrauded by this company had to hire acctual professionals to fix what he wouldn't. The employees, yes the were dozens would work and never get paid. So I can say this for Mr. Boatright he is consistent business wise, buy the best of equipment and never pay for it. Customer complaints....who cares....he surely doesn't. Get paid up front for work....and you'll never see him again. Work for him , expect to have a job for about two weeks and you'll never get paid. Thats why it's now a family business, they are all that's left. My review of Mr. Boatright: I contacted A & B drywall after a friend referred them to for the new texture of my home. I spoke with company representative Mr. Alan Boatright. I told him I was particular about texture especially knock down. I asked for a heavy knock down known to most people as a stucco finish for the ceiling and a heavy knock down for walls. I specifically told can do the type of finish im asking for, to which I was assured he could. Before he could start I had to add in drywall patches after some fixtures were removed from the home. He not a problem $150 for the large patch and $100 for three small patches. We agreed on a price and to have the old popcorn removed new seems and the specialty texture I requested. Once Mr. Boatright and his employees started the I agreed to view the work later that evening. I was absolutely livid that he apparently didn't listen to one thing I said. They did not do the larger patch that I was charged $150 for. They did not do the specialty texture I had requested and been charged extra for. They sprayed the doors and trim with drywall mud. They sprayed the windows and sills with drywall mud. They even sprayed in the duct work with drywall mud. There was no attempt at clean made inside the home. They even only partially spayed each closet inside the home.I was charged extra to have the garage sprayed as well. They splattered the walls and never actually knocked the walls down via the texture. The garage had bare concrete floors, they never made a attempt to cover the or do any sort of clean up work. Even the front, back and garage door was not taped off and covered in drywall mud. The three small patches made were all bubbled out and textured over. One patch inside a closet was never even done. When I contacted Mr. Boatright to address the problems with the worked performed he said he never agreed to large patch and he didn't beilve the other patches bubbled out. I took photos of each one. I asked to fix the patches and clean the excessive mud of all the trim and doors. I also made mention that I didn't believe the job was worth full price as some problems with the in reality couldn't be fixed at this point. He said he would not return. I told him I'd prefer to work the issue out with him, but they had to fix parts of the job. He once again refused and said he would not. I told him I happily see him and civil court as well as file complaints against him. I would have preferred to reach a solution with him, but that just wasn't possible. To future customers I'd watch everything they do, he is quick to cut corners and assume what you want. My best advice call another contractor and wait for quality work.
