Blue Sky Textures did an absolutely phenomenal job on my home renovation, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They removed all of the popcorn and smoothed the ceilings across approximately 2,300 square feet, repaired and closed up interior shelving areas, and painted the entire house one color. Amazingly, they completed all of this in about three weeks. From start to finish, their customer service and responsiveness were truly above and beyond. They were always on time, professional at every step, and committed to their deadline in a way that is incredibly rare in this industry. The entire process felt smooth, organized, and stress-free. Jack, the owner, was outstanding. He was personable, responsive, fair on price, and went above and beyond what was in the contract to help me out, even fixing issues caused by other vendors. That level of care and professionalism made a huge difference and is something you do not come across often. A special shoutout as well to Jay the electrician, who came to the house many times to complete all of the electrical work and was great throughout the project. There is a reason they call him Five-Star Jack. I am extremely happy with the finished product and the overall experience. Blue Sky Textures made what could have been a stressful renovation feel like a breeze. I will absolutely continue recommending Jack and his team and will use them again for any future home projects.

Up until the light fixture installation, everything went smoothly. CJ noted they would need scaffolding, and I reminded them again when scheduling. On the day of the appointment, they missed the scheduled time, and only after I reached out did they inform me they didnt know when they could arrive because the scaffolding had been sent to another jobdespite it being part of my booking. Thankfully, someone was able to come later that day, but during the install the glass on the light fixture broke (not his fault). He advised me to call and reschedule once the replacement arrived. Since then, Ive made 15 calls and sent 4 texts. Sherry answered only once and said she would call back with a time, but I never heard from her again. Ive already prepaid for this service, and now I feel completely ignored. If you decide to use this company, I strongly recommend paying only after the job is fully completed to avoid the frustration of trying to get them back to finish the work.

They did not do a great job! We cannot refer them because they left a mess and damaged our wallpaper! We have white paint on our floors and furniture. We had dried paint chips all over the floors. Then, we find that they ripped our wallpaper. It is going to cost us to clear the room, take all the wallpaper down, and then repaint the room. Their representative did not mention this could happen. He assured us that they never leave a job with a mess. Was it an inexperienced crew? When we called them, they offered no solution and said it is in the contract. I think our community needs to see these photos of our ripped wallpaper. They are advertising falsely. We do not recommend this company. Buyer beware!

They showed up on time, prepped the house, removed the popcorn ceiling, fixed all holes and imperfections in the ceiling, and sprayed knockdown all in one day. Things started off well, the bid was reasonable and Blue Sky was very professional. I had water damage to my ceiling including large holes, a couple long cracks, and two rooms with texture to plaster over. The initial job took a day longer than expected because they did not bring the correct saw, in my opinion he should have known or been told what was needed. They did a fair job caring for our home, covering everything, and cleaning up afterwards, but I had to have a post-construction cleaning (somewhat expected) as the ceilings and walls throughout the main floor were coated in dust. Everything looked ok when they left, though after closer inspection I had to sand the repaired areas myself (the textured rooms were fine) as they did poor finishing work. I should have had them return and do it right, then again it should have been finished properly the first time. Then a couple weeks or so later the two long cracks reappeared. They returned and repaired them again, no problem. Still did not sand properly before leaving. Soon after the ceiling puckered along much of the length of the cracks they had just fixed (again, see pics), plus by this time there was significant discoloration around ALL of the repair areas. I had them return to check it out, he was stumped as to what was wrong: This is a real problem. Im not sure why it did that, we have to take care of this right away! I will call you tomorrow. They ghosted me. I was too fed up to call them again, time to find a pro rather than have them attempt yet another repair. The pro I hired? Hes a rock-star and had far better insight into the problem and its cause. As for the discoloration, seems Blue Sky did not use primer on the ceiling before plastering so it bled through. To be fair the ceiling was going to be painted but still...do the job right or dont do it at all. They saved a little time and cost (not my cost) by skipping the primer. Im out an extra $1k now and it pushed our paint contractor back by a couple months. Lesson learned. If you have a simple job theyll do fine, I would not hire them again for any drywall installation or repair.

There is paint everywhere. Ive been spending weeks and thousands of dollars trying to remove it all. They completely disrespected my property, damaging several items either with paint or by physically breaking it apart. I had a ceiling fan ripped into pieces, and most of my window fixtures were torn off the wall rather than unscrewed and removed. I was told that they would offer replacement light bulbs for the ones that they damaged, and they didnt. So I had to buy my own. I was told that they would reinstall light fixtures that they left on the floor, and they didnt. So I had to hire a handyman to help. I was told I was paying for full-house interior painting, and they left spots unpainted. I am appalled that they would unscrew all the wall plates from several rooms and then never even paint those rooms or put the plates back! And why did they leave their empty paint buckets and other trash behind? It took over an hour to find all the plates that they left scattered across the home and put them all back. Some wall plates were completely painted over, so I had to spend up to 20 minutes per wall plate tearing it out of the paint and replacing it. Its great that my ceilings look nice, but now the rest of the home is a disaster, and Ive spent just as much on the popcorn removal as I have on professional cleaners, new ceiling fans (which I at least intended to replace and cant fully fault them for disrespecting), new window treatments, new recessed light trim, etc. I think some cleanup is to be expected, but there are so many paint spots on the floor that I have had to spend $2,000 so far to try to get all of it out. It took about 1 months worth of rain to get most of the paint off the driveway and plants outside. There is still a glob of paint on my front door and glob of drywall on my exterior wall near the door. In terms of longevity: I will not blame them for paint tearing off the bottom of the walls in rooms that Ive since renovated by replacing the floor trim. I think thats to be expected, and I always intended on retouching after. I am disappointed that paint is ripping off the walls around eye level, though. Im not performing any renovation at eye level, so why is the paint so weak? It ripped off from someone brushing their shoulder up against the wall one time. Unfortunately its clear that Im going to have to repaint everything in the near future. It has only been 2 months.

First of all, The removal of the popcorn ceiling and the knockdown texture they put in its place look absolutely fabulous, but thats where it ends. Everything else was a disaster: poor communication, The whole job took many more days than I was led to believe, the painting of the walls where they meet the ceiling looks terrible and they missed spots and painted too lightly. The final straw was they reinstalled my vertical blinds, which they needed to remove to do some of the repairs I contracted for, was not done correctly and now they wont open and close all the way. They get five stars for the popcorn removal and texture and the painting of the ceiling and they get one star for everything else for a three star average.
