I contacted a few other companies before finding Blackfin Construction, and none of them seemed as professional. I cant stand when a company just answers the phone with hello instead of identifying themselves. But Blackfin was different right from the start. A friendly woman in the office answered professionally, took my name and information, and didnt make me text all my details like some of the others did. Randy, the owner, was great to work with. He took the time to explain in detail what needed to be done and also gave options. Santos and the rest of the crew did a fantastic job stuccoing and painting my house. They were thorough, respectful of my property, and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. The best part is that my house looks awesome. I had absolutely no issues and would definitely use Blackfin Construction again.

Cannot recommend Blackfin enough. We just completed a large addition and remodel with them in Tampa and it turned out so much better than expected. Randy is great to work with - hes even keeled, knowledgeable, and experienced. They do excellent work, have great subs, and were able to tackle any hurdle that came up. Maybe the best compliment I can give is there was always more than one truck in our front yard with someone doing work, never a lull in the project. My house was impacted by Hurricane Idalia, which brought about six inches of water inside. That might not sound like much, but it causes far more damage than you'd think. To prevent mold from growing, you have to gut the house all flooring, bathroom vanities, and drywall removed up to four feet high. Anything else that got wet and couldnt be cut out, like closets and interior/exterior doors, also needed replacing. It is a major effort. My original contractor was horrible, so I fired them. I then met Randy and David through a mutual friend. They worked with me to restore everything, and I also had them update the kitchen, master bathroom shower and main bathroom. The tile work came out perfect it looked amazing. They even helped me design the kitchen and found great suppliers for the cabinets and countertops. The project took about six months, which was pretty fast compared to some of my neighbors who were also dealing with flood damage. Fast forward to Hurricane Helene This time my house took on 33 inches of water. I went to see the damage the day after the storm, which was a Friday. I called David and asked if he wanted to redo my house again. He had a crew at my house by Monday, tearing out the drywall. They finished demo in just a day and a half. I was the first in my neighborhood to have my house gutted and drying out (no mold). The second time around, the process was much easier since we knew exactly what to get and how to handle it. It took about five months again, which was impressive given that Hurricane Helene caused even more widespread damage and everyone was competing for labor and materials. Pros Great guys, easy to work with, and no pressure to do extra or more expensive work. Reasonably priced the other quotes I got were ridiculous in comparison. Excellent quality; if something wasnt right, they always corrected it. For example, I was disappointed with how the baseboards came out at one point, and they fixed it without hesitation. Cons At times, communication could have been better. No one is perfect, but I would have liked a bit more frequent updates. Overall, I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again!
