We live in a manufactured home, and we had a tree fall on our house with one of the limbs puncturing all the way through the roof and ceiling drywall above a kitchen cabinet. We called Ace Handyman Services and Krystal was on the ball with it. We waited until the roofing company made repairs to the roof and then we had Ace come and repair the drywall, also we had them repair the ceiling area where the two halves meet because the original touch up guy did not do the job correctly, however, Nathan Larson of Ace Handyman services came in and made the repairs to the ceiling and I must say he did a very professional job. Nathan was very friendly, and good to talk to. I will definitely hire Ace Handyman services again in the future!!!

The scheduled handyman cancelled the morning of. Ace was responsive in finding a replacement. Caused a start delay of about 45 minutes which was acceptable considering the circumstances. The end result of the work was good, however the handyman made two trips to the store for supplies. I feel like this could have been one trip with better planning and foresight. End result caused me to pay more for the hourly charge.

He worked through the list, purchased supplies needed and completed everything. He did an excellent job, he is very competent and talented, in addition to being a very pleasant person. The list included replacing outdoor lights, weather stripping all doors and doing some repairs on them, building new steps for the front porch, cleaning and painting the porch, repairing gutters, repairing kitchen drawers and installing bathroom fixtures. This time Jessie Beltran-Smith was dispatched. He is wonderful. He knocked out the various tasks I needed done within the two-hour minimum. My exterior French doors were stuck because of a pesky vintage door knob and lock unit that broke so the piece that moves in and out when turning the knob got stuck in the extended position and no longer moved when turning the door knob. Jessie said it was a first for him with these old cartridge-type door knob units. He handled it like a pro and got the door free quickly and without any damage! He advised on replacing the cartridge so I could keep this brass door fixture. He then hung two huge and heavy mirrors and a large jewel tree metal and glass sculpture. Ive used Ace Handyman Services several times and have always been pleased with the workmanship and the price! I highly recommend Ace Handyman Services hands down! Thank you, Jessie!

Pretty bad experience with these guys: -hired them to hang some large TVs and run electrical behind the sheetrock so that there were no visible wires -First appointment they called the night before and canceled because somebody called in sick. It happens, but it was inconvenient. The agreed to waive their service charge -second appointment they showed up, but did not come prepared to run the electrical as we had planned. They sent two people, and they charge by the hour. They show up without any of the materials, and then both went shopping together. Certainly one of them could have started working on hanging the TV mounts while the other one went shopping -when they got around to trying to run the electrical, they told us that they weren't able to do it because there was some framing issue. -The technicians hung the TVs and were pleasant, but ultimately we ended up paying what we were expecting to have the TVs hung and electrical wired, but only got half the job done -The invoice did not waive the service fee initially (actually charged double). They ended up fixing this, but it took me calling them to get it handled -after a quick YouTube, I was able to do the electrical myself, but had to basically undo some of their work to get it done resulting in a net negative. Called to express my concerns about paying for two people to go shopping, their technicians showing up unprepared to do the work, and the lack of ability to do the work that we actually hired them for, and they did not seem interested in resolving the situation. Overall everyone we talked to was pleasant, but the work and fee for the work were definitely suboptimal. Would not recommend based on my experience for this service.

Really disappointed because Stanley and his company came recommended by an inspector I had used. I cant say enough good things about the handyman who helped me today - Anthony/Tony. He was communicative, positive, great to work with and did an excellent job. Unfortunately I cant say the same for management and ownership. I booked a full day job which isnt cheap - it was going to run me $1200 or so not including tax or materials ($130/hr). But since I was in a pinch (preparing a home for listing) I figured it wasnt bad if I was able to get all the items finished. The first red flag came when I found out there was a $55 coupon for full day jobs on their website but they didnt willingly offer this to me - I had to inquire about it. I was told items that the handyman purchases for the job will have a markup but being an investor and knowing contractors get a small discount and then mark up to retail for clients I was ok with this as it typically isnt a huge expense. The hardware store where these items were purchased is 5mins from my home and I couldve easily purchased them myself. But since I figured it wasnt a steep cost, the handyman went ahead and purchased items for the job. When it came time to pay for the work, I wasnt sent an invoice. I had to ask. Once it was sent I saw the hourly rate (no surprise), tax and then $600 and change for items purchased and it was not itemized and no receipts were provided. That seemed steep for what was purchased. I had to get Stanley on the phone to walk through the invoice. He said materials were $300 or so and the rest was the markup. Excuse me? A mark up of almost 50% for materials I couldve easily purchased myself from a hardware store 5 minutes from my house? At no moment was I made aware of their mark up fee until after the work was finished. In my opinion this is shady. Im a realtor and investor and this type of behavior is unacceptable and honestly just plain wrong. He tried to apologize and then questioned if the handyman was slow which I quickly corrected. BE WARNED. Would not recommend the company. Would recommend the handyman. Do yourself a favor and hire some local guy at the hardware store to help you instead of paying $130/hr and a 50% markup. Insane. So now Im out $2000 (!!!) and still have to hire someone else because they didn't finish the last part of the job. Dont be like me!
