I hired Christian and the Good guys handyman for a bathroom remodel. I needed a vanity installed and wallpaper removed among other cosmetic updates. We came up with ideas for custom shelves too! The good guys handyman team was responsive to every inquiry from start to finish. We had extensive conversations about finishes, bathroom ideas, timelines, cost, delays - never feeling rushed or inconvenienced. I would recommend the good guys handyman time and time again .

Christian responded to my request immediately. I had a broken kitchen drawer and he was able to schedule the repair quickly. He fixed the drawer, no problem. I also wanted to use The Good Guys to paint the condo. After paying the deposit I found out that my HOA requires Workmans comp insurance, which Good Guys does not carry. Christian refunded my deposit immediately. I would definitely use The Good Guys again!

We had a long and diverse list of repairs that we've been sitting on for too long and as a result we were very anxious about even starting the process. We called Good Guys not really knowing if our list was too big and not really knowing how to navigate the whole process. We are so glad that we called the Good Guys. Chris came and walked through the project(s) with us and mapped out the particulars and decision points in his quote. The quote was accurate and detailed and fair and we felt very comfortable immediately working with The Good Guys Handyman. We felt listened to and never condescended to and felt a part of every single part of our sprawling project(s). We had The Good Guys install a new vanity and toilet, repair damaged tiles, remove ceiling fans, install new lighting, repair damaged plaster walls, remove a wall of mirrors, build out new shelving to replace the mirrors, seal our kitchen counters, and paint several rooms. The work was done on schedule and we felt like Chris and Jaime were our partners - rather than dictate their tastes or the simplest way to accomplish tasks, we were able to ask questions and explore all of our options for each task. The quality of The Good Guys work is impeccable and our remodel is gorgeous, exceeding our expectations. Each project completed by The Good Guys was done so on or ahead of schedule and the quote remained accurate throughout the projects. Our expectations have been exceeded!!

I first hired Chris from The Good Guys Handyman to come into my home to rehang a bedroom door, and paint a bedroom. He is super friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and easy to get in touch with. He did such a amazing job that I hired him for two other projects. He replaced all the trim on our main floor doorways so they all matched craftsman style and I couldn't be happier with the excellent carpentry he did! I called him back again to fix an exterior door that was not framed properly when it was installed and was well weathered. He sturdied the frame and aligned it properly and replaced the exterior trim with vinyl to reduce weathering. I was extremely happy with all the work he did for us and we will definitely be calling him back for future projects! Thanks Chris!

Both times they sent Jamie to do the work, who was great about asking questions, communicating what he was doing, and explaining various options along with his recommendation. In both instances, the time it took came in under the estimated time, which was nice as it helped save a little money.

Weve hired Good Guys Handyman for multiple jobs weve been tackling after moving into our house. Ty put an electrical outlet in our master walk-in closet, secured an electrical outlet in our kitchen island, and swapped out a bunch of bathroom vanity fixtures. He also installed GFI outlets in our garage and moved the location of our dining chandelier electrical box and installed the chandelier (pictured). Jamie has done dry wall repair for us, changed the swing on our master bedroom door, and installed a door in the trellising under our deck so we could have under deck access, among other things. Chris repainted our kitchen island (pictured). We have been incredibly happy with everything theyve done for us, which is why we keep coming back to them time and again. They are kind, personable, and great to work with. Ive always felt like theyve had ample expertise for the jobs theyve done for us. We recommend them wholeheartedly!

We replaced the floors in our condo which left an ugly gap between the new floors and the baseboards/door frames. We also had to get it back up for sale as soon as humanly possible. I called around to about 8 carpenters that all scoffed at such a small and odd job. I finally found The Good Guys and my luck totally turned around! Chris was able to come out for a quote the next day and Jamie completed the carpentry work and painting right in time for us to get listed again. I cannot thank them enough! Chris and Jamie are so nice and wonderful to work with. I'll be referring all my Chicago-area friends to them from now on!
