This is in reply to the contractor's response to my original post. First and foremost, rather than addressing the issues in a civil manner, the contractor chose to be hostile and extremely defensive on the phone, whereby I felt it was best to communicate by text. Unfortunately, that was completely unproductive. Not in any way did I negotiate the original quote, I accepted it, and my initial deposit was paid right away-sent FedEx. I have many contractors working on my house: site work, slab and shell contractor, electrician, roofer, plumber, gas contractor, stucco-stone-exterior paint, as well as those scheduled with deposits. Every single contractor has been paid promptly. The drywall contractor is the only one I have held the final payment. Further, the owner did not show up the day he claims. I was there along with two other contractors. To the best of my knowledge, this owner has never set foot on my property and I have always dealt with his project manager, who is unreliable. Same project manager stated to me at one point that they did not have the best workers!!! This should warrant inspections by the owner/project manager! IN FACT, THERE WAS NEVER COMMUNICATION ON THE JOB BEING COMPLETED NOR ANY SCHEDULING OF ANY SORT FOR A FINAL WALK THROUGH TO ADDRESS ANY ISSUES. In addition to the original issues, there are more that I am providing pictures. The contractor stated there was no marking on the floor for the smoke detector. There is in fact a marking on the floor for the smoke detector, as there is a marking in every single location, for any electrical wiring that was installed. See the photo below. The marking is covered with drywall dust because it has been there for some time and was very much visible to the employees. The contractor installed drywall with damaged pieces, leaving holes in areas. I have numerous pictures of this. It appears there was nobody in charge checking the employees work. In response to my call to the project manager, the owner called me. I explained there were items that needed to be addressed. At this time, I had already written a final check, assuming this contractor would conduct himself as all of the other contractors I hired and amicably make the necessary repairs/corrections. Keep in mind, there are items that I chose not to address with him, but I am posting pictures of so that others are aware. One specific issue that is extremely obvious is the severe splits in the wood framing at every doorway, rendering it subpar work. It appears this contractor has purchased poor quality, less expensive material, yet charged superior prices. The poor workmanship and lack of regard for quality has been left for other contractors to correct. Subsequent to the unproductive text messages that very day I received an email with a final bill and the owner stating that he planned on picking up the check from me, personally. This was not requested for the deposit. Considering the owners behavior and hostile refusal to make things right, I was extremely concerned for my safety. I had merely requested the poor workmanship be corrected. As I mentioned in my original review, this contractor chose retaliation rather than standing behind his employees work. This is a very unprofessional way to operate a business.

If I could leave ZERO STARS I would. This company does not complete the work as per contract. Employees DAMAGED MY BRAND-NEW WINDOW, DAMAGED MY WATER SUPPLY, INSTALLED DRYWALL COMPLETELY OVER MY SMOKE DETECTOR CONNECTIONS!!! The walls are sanded so poorly it requires three COATS OF PAINT AND I CAN STILL SEE THE HORRIBLE SANDING. I had three separate painting contractors state this is the worst drywall install they have ever seen. Owner is rude and does not check the work. Three days after receiving an invoice he PLACED A lien ON my property instead of correcting mistakes. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

I contacted Dunn Rite to repair a crack in our ceiling drywall. Unfortunately it required redoing the ceiling over a large section of our family room & kitchen. They showed up on time, protected all of our personal items & other areas of the house. They were very professional, communicated what to expect and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again & highly recommend !

This contractor did a great job on the popcorn removal, drywall repair, and applying knockdown to ceilings in whole house. All for a good price. Arrived on time, got the work done, and cleaned up everything. I recommend them.
