Needed a doorframe repair to allow the deadbolt to work properly. Liam was available same-day, right before a holiday. He was on-time, polite, communicated throughout and cleaned up after himself. Price was reasonable and we are happy- recommend!

Shawn was indeed a very skilled craftsman with over 25 years experience. His workmanship exceeded our expectations, completing the work on time and budget. There were 6 cedar posts that needed wood rot repair and Bondo sealant. Not all of the posts were done, wood rot was missed and not repaired and none of the seems where cedar was replaced were flush or sealed well with the Bondo. The flat areas where the Bondo was applied was not smoothed or sanded appropriately. One of the boards that was to be painted was missed and there was wood and debris left under our deck. This was not the quality we have come to expect from ACE Hamdyman services. We are long time customers. We have discussed and sent pictures to Chris Cooper and he is working with us to get the job fixed.

I had such high hopes when I found Ace Handyman Services, who promised no job is too big or too small. I had exterior caulking/sealing work and some dry rot wood replacement/repair needs as cited in a home sale inspector's report that my buyer wanted corrected prior to the closing, with a 3 week time window for completion of the work. While the front office girls were cordial and efficient, nothing that happened after scheduling my work appointment went well from there. I wondered at the time why they wouldn't send an estimator out, but instead quoted the work off the inspection report I sent them along with pictures of the areas needing attention. They quoted 4 hours of work at $639. I thought the price reasonable if it would be taking care of all the items that were noted in the report as needing attention. I called to schedule an appointment on a Monday morning, with Ace telling me they would be out that Friday for the work. They were a no show when Friday came and after calling them, they promised to send someone right out. BUT, that worker's truck broke down and I was contacted for a reschedule for the next morning, Saturday, at 8:30 a.m. The worker finally showed up, and did minimal caulking, and replaced a wood piece over the top of two windows. He couldn't locate the paint in the garage, and was told to skip the painting finish work after he contacted me. The worker said it would take several more hours of work to do the siding replacement needed for several boards over my garage door. I ended up with a bill of $639 for no more than 2 hours of work, and a significant portion of the work left and still needing to be completed before a 7/29 deadline. No thanks to Ace Handyman Services for mis-quoting the job and delaying my ability to get the work completed for several weeks. Happy to report if you want a contractor who will take care of you, call John at Brogan Painting and Remodeling! Stay clear of Ace Handyman Services as their business model for quoting a job over the phone is flawed, and you run the risk of getting a bogus number for the work you're trying to get done, with cost overages and scheduling delays likely. Sorry, Ace. Epic fail!

Had Cody come out to do a few electrical things plus install a ceiling fan. Ceiling wasnt set-up for a fan but, unplanned, he was able to set-up a portable A/C in our sons bedroom. Its not cheap but he did a fine job.

I called for a quote on a task that would have taken about 30 minutes. Then they told me they book in 2 hour blocks of time and any additional tasks I needed them to complete would not have an additional charge within those 2 hours - what started off seeming a bit high turned into a bargain! Shawn was on time, cleaned up as he went and the things he was able to complete saved me a ton of time!

Granted, he went to the store to get paint and caulk which I should have had on hand. So thats over half an hour with no work done. For $600 I need someone who works faster.

Not what it used to be. Friendly people, but poor execution. First they no-showed my appointment to get a quote, had to reschedule. Then they never sent me my quote when they said they would, had to call to get it from them. Next, the quote was vague and not itemized, had to call them back. They said they would send over a new, more detailed quote, but they never did. They also told me they wouldn't hang an interior door where I want it hung (no new framing required), and they want to hang it in a different location that requires new framing and way more work. It's my house, just hang the door where I want it to be hung at. They also no longer include material costs in their quotes (even on small jobs that will take less than 1 day to complete) - they say it's due to "fluctuating material costs", so I am sure it would have been a surprise expensive up-charge after the work is done, the only logical reason I can think of is a tactic to nickel and dime customers. It is clear they simply do not care like they used to and are riding the coattails of the good "Ace Hardware" name.

They were very friendly, professional and the quality of work was top notch!! They even cleaned up their mess! Couldnt have asked for two better guys!!
