Many addressable problems with this shipper. Let's begin with the speed of loading here. Due to the fact they only have one bay used for flatbed loading drivers are at the mercy of the ones who arrived before them. Additionally the fact that theu seem quite disorganized with their stock it makes the loading process much longer as well. Paperwork is another issue. I feel like they must have killed 4 trees just to produce the BOL for one load. Then we get to tarping. USG requires drivers allow the USG staff to tarp, but their staff has no training in proper tarping resulting in many inefficiencies in their work process as well as a result that even by their own admition, most drivers tear down to retarp anyway. If instead they asked drivers to use their harness system and tarp themselves they would have trucks out faster. OR they could bring in someone who knows tarping procedures very well to train their staff in better processes and practices to ensure quality faster work.
