Richard Tucker built my new home last year. We struggled to find something that we liked in the location that we would prefer. A friend referred me to Richard. I called him and he sent me the location of a house he was building that was perfect for us. We love our home and location. Richard has been instant in his responses to help us after purchase with small things that needed to be polished up after the build. He is a great guy, super professional, and a man of his word. Highly recommended!

Buyers beware...we recently retired and bought a home built by Tucker Home. It looked great prior to move in, but we found out that the quality is poor. Many of the electrical outlets don't work properly. The exterior doors don't close properly - we've never been able to use the deadlock on one of the exterior doors because it doesn't line up with the hole in the jamb, the rest have large gaps. They didn't supply missing pieces of porch railing. We had to beg for the master bathroom drain cover. The kitchen stove has no ventilation. Et cetera. In addition, they're unresponsive once you've cleared escrow. We tried to get them to fix the problems we found after we moved in, but they don't answer/return phone calls. On the outside, the concrete slopes towards the house and we have problems with water intrusion. The septic system is not where the plans showed it to be, stopping our plans for property improvements. They get 3 stars instead of 2 only because the drywall is absolutely perfect and we don't have catastrophic problems. In our experience, they didn't pay attention to non-cosmetic details. On the plus side, the radon system was mostly installed (we only had to add the fan) and the basement plumbing is installed (even though we don't know how well it was done since the basement is unfinished). We've bought new homes in the past, and the builders were concerned with our satisfaction after we moved in. The other builders gave us at least 6 months, or in one case a year, to bring them any problems we found and have them fixed. It doesn't appear that Tucker Home cares if you're satisfied or not. If you are considering buying a home from them, inspect it carefully and make sure you address concerns and resolutions in your purchase contract!
