Ive been working with Trusty Handyman for many years, and they consistently exceed my expectations. Communication is excellent, they keep me informed at all times and send photos of the work, which is very important to me since these are rental properties and Im often not physically present. All the work theyve done has been high quality, and they are always willing to help and answer any questions. Without a doubt, they are a reliable company that I highly recommend.

I have used this company twice, which was my big mistake. In my opinion, this company is NOT reputable and you should NOT use them! They promise one thing and then when they can't deliver, they go silent. The first guys they sent provided high-quality work, so I didn't mind the high cost and I asked for them to do more work for me. I was told that would not be a problem, and of course, when they showed up for the second visit, it was a different team. Do you think they gave me the courtesy of informing me? Of course not! And here is my favorite...they didn't do some of the work that was in the estimate...they KNEW they forgot about it, but instead of correcting the final bill and being truthful, they decided to wait until I told them about it, and only then did they deduct the amount for the work they never did. I had so many problems with their lying to me about things that I finally just gave up. All I can say is CAVEAT EMPTOR.... You have been warned!

EDITED REVIEW: Ive used this company twice, once before selling my townhome and again for work on my new home. My first experience was excellent, and I had no complaints, which is why I chose to work with them again. The second project started off well, but unfortunately didnt finish at the same standard. During the process, I agreed to additional work after being told (in person, in front of the job site manager) that I would have 90-day payment terms. In hindsight, I should have had this in writing, but shortly after the job was completed, I was informed the terms were actually 30 days. After some back and forth, we compromised at 60 daysbut this still wasnt what was originally presented, especially after increasing the scope of work. There were also some issues with follow-up and workmanship. A few finishes needed touch-ups, and communication required multiple follow-ups on my end. I was told someone would come out to address ceiling cracks under warranty, but no one showed. Later, after initially agreeing it was covered, I was told it would not be warrantied due to a different explanation. This is something that should have been clarified upfront during the quoting process. Additionally, grout/cement between bathroom tiles began cracking within about five months. While they eventually sent someone to address it, it took a few weeks to coordinate. Overall, my first experience was 5-star, but the second did not meet the same expectations. The inconsistency in honoring terms, delays in communication, and shifting stance on warranty coverage are the main reasons for updating my review. Im sharing this as constructive feedback, and I hope the company can use it to improve communication, set clearer expectations, and maintain consistency in their service moving forward.

Five stars. Not my experience. I paid a deposit for 180.00 They over charged my credit card. I notified them and have confirmation the tech needed to be here between 12-3pm St 8am I receive a text the tech is route. . I work, had four other companies at my home. Have two huge aggressive dogs, and lost a fortune not seeing clients.Have had equipment and a ladder in my living room for weeks. At 430pm I am text wheres the tech? He wrote the tech was in an accident, he is lost, he doesnt have your address. Was he hit by a meteor too?? I cancelled services and requested refund on phone and in writing. No response. I would. It recommend to my worst enemy.

I reached out to The Trusty Handyman on Monday the 8th around 4pm from one of my phone lines to get some work done around my house. They asked me to send pictures and a brief description of what I needed, which I did at 4:25pm that same day. The next morning, Tuesday at 11:34am, I followed up for an update. They replied a few minutes later saying they were working on the quote and would be sending it shortly. That was the last I heard from them. The lack of communication and follow-through with a potential client really stood out to me. I understand companies get busy, but a simple update goes a long way. Because of that, Im giving them three stars.

I recently had The Trusty Handyman install a 14ft soffit over my kitchen cabinets and improve the vent ductwork. They were amazing to say the least. Professional, knowledgeable, and very skilled. I called Trusty Handyman and spoke with Juan T. He immediately answered all my questions, sent me a written proposal and explained the work he would do. When I sent him text messages, he responded quickly and didnt pressure me. His crew was clean and the job was done professionally and the site was left clean and neat. Payment was done through a secure link and was easy to use. I even got a follow up text the next day asking how everything looked. Very professional. Job done right. I will use them again

I needed an emergency ceiling drywall repair done over the weekend. After calling at least 9 vendors, a couple of who said their technicians dont work on weekends but promised to see who would be willing to come out on Saturday to do the repairs, I never heard back from them. All of this began Friday and Saturday morning. One of the vendors I had called The Trusty Handyman, left a message and forgot about it reached out to me by text on Saturday morning. Javier Promised to see what could be done and let me know and he did. A team was pulled together and the work scheduled for 6pm the same day, drywall replaced, and came back Sunday as promised, on time, to paint. The finished product is EXCEPTIONAL, Javiers assistance, understanding and word was gold. I will never used anyone else for handy work before reaching out to The Trusty Handyman first. EXCEPTIONAL truly EXCEPTIONAL.

The The Trusty Handyman was recommended to me for some projects in my home, and I am so happy that I called them! Jorge was very professional, offered a reasonable quote, scheduled the work quickly, and was in constant touch with me and the project manager/ team. Communication was excellent throughout the process. They removed my popcorn ceiling (which is a very messy thing to do with a person living on the premises), repainted the whole townhouse, replaced my sliding patio door, and completed several other projects in only 2 weeks. The work is beautiful and they left the house clean and in excellent shape. When I noticed a small issue the night they finished, they sent a tech immediately the next morning to fix it. I will call them again when I need more work done, and I highly recommend them!

I needed my shower fixed due to poor draining and possible leaks behind the tile walls. The Trusty Handyman was one of the few companies I could find that was willing to just do a shower fix without the whole bathroom remodel. They were very clean and organized and put paper down through the whole house to keep the floors from getting dirty. They discovered more issues as the demo happened but were able to fix everything quickly. Their work was detailed and professional. The results were exactly what we hoped for and we finally have a great shower with no issues.
