We were very impressed with the roof repairs we received after we had damage from a wind storm. We were able to reach Brad very easily and he was very good about making sure he got to us in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the work done. We got hit hard by these recent wind storms. These folks answered when I called and came and fixed it very quickly. No question at all we will 100% be using Smith & Young Roofing for our roof replacement this year or next.

We've had multiple contractors install roofs in northern Ohio, but our experience with Smith and Young was particularly concerning. Despite issues with standing water and increased leaking into our property, they refused to acknowledge or investigate the problems post-installation. When we brought this to their attention, they claimed that the issues were due to external factors outside their scope of work. * Reused damaged fascia boards * Loose and plugged gutters * Installation of a roof that was known to leak without correcting underlayment * Lack of communication and unwillingness to investigate post-installation issues We're disappointed in the lack of professionalism and support from Smith and Young, especially considering they are local contractors. In comparison to larger roof installers in the area, they have been one of the worst experiences we've had.

We had a roof replaced in the summer of 2024 - both shingles and flat surface were part of the +$23k roof job. We started experiencing leaks within 6 months of the install which the company suggested was drain piping issue that was under the roof and not the problem. We still continue to have sitting water on the roof (photo's included). Additionally the roof drip edges are coming off and not entirely addressed in the job. I've had three other roofing companies out since the this job to evaluate the work - all have suggested this roof was installed incorrectly. So I am going to end up paying for this twice.

Contacted this company to patch missing shingles on our roof. Told us that the shingles they had would be lighter we asked to match as close as possible. Said they would go check would be back on following Monday or Tuesday with a lift. Monday & Tuesday came and went and no phone call. Contacted them again, more excuses. Never heard from them again. If you can't do the job just say so, don't leave a customer hanging.

We called and scheduled an estimate on gutter and downspouts. They were cheaper and wow, what a great job. Looks great, they cleaned up the old gutter and downs, and hauled it away. Very polite and hard working. These guys knew what they were doing!! Thanks Guys, you were awesome!!

We hired them to do a job for us last fall. They continually had excuses for not showing up. They finally texted and said they would definitely show up the week that it was forecast to be 20 below windchill, and promised that we were next on their list no matter what. That was the last time we heard from them, it was 4 months ago. Honesty works well. If they didnt want the job, they should have told us instead of stringing us along.

Very poor work. Most of the flooring is coming up and broke. When we call they either don't respond and if they do they don't follow through with what they say they will do. I would definitely NOT recommend this place. If i could share pictures I would love too
