They started a job about house last year and things are still not complete our outdoor fan and light and outlet that was working before the extension is not working or wired in. Deadlines promised were never met the only thing they were on time with was collecting checks.

Mike is a great guy to work with and he really knows his stuff. The planning meetings for the remodeling job took a LOONG time, but in retrospect I believe that they were key to getting the job done right. Great team to work with and I will do business with them again.

MRC Builders has done a number of building/remodeling projects for us. Examples are building a patio cover/porch (stucco and frame), remodeling our master bathroom, building a fireplace mantle (3 sides), and insulating our 3-car garage. The patio cover/porch replaced an 8 year old pre-fab alumawood cover. We wanted a patio cover/porch that looked like it was part of the original construction of the house. Because we were having the concrete patio and the walkway and steps around the pool replaced with pavers also, Mike's crew had to coordinate their work with the other contractor (e.g., pouring of footers, inspections, construction, etc.). They were true professionals even though the other contractor did not play well with others. The irattention to detail was superb and the work exceeded our expectations. Afterwards, our next door neighbor was so impressed that they decided to have MRC Builders build them the exact same thing! Our fireplace had tile flush with the wall and it had a boxed tile hearth. The fireplace, itself, had no frame or mantle and it looked incomplete without one. Mikes crew built one for us that looks like it was original with the house. The proportion is great and the mantle is just the right size for displaying a few collectibles. Additionally, they added an outlet, ran cable into the wall above the fireplace, and mounted our TV bracket so that we could surface mount our flat screen TV above the fireplace. They even helped us put the TV into the bracket and set it up! Our garage was extremely cold in the winter and unbearably hot in the summer. Mike showed us that the space above it had no insulation whatsoever. Mike's crew built an access panel in the garage ceiling. I rented the insulation blower and purchased a zillion bales of insulation from Lowes. MRC Builders picked everything up from Lowe's and delivered all to my home. They set up the equipment, taped and put plastic down everywhere, and then blew insulation into our attic. They also cleaned up the mess, took all the trash, and returned the blower for me. As a result of their efforts, the garage is at least 15 degrees warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Lastly, MRC Builders remodeled our master bathroom. It was unbelievable watching them work so quickly but so efficiently! They showed up on time, taped and put plastic down everywhere to include building a barrier in the bedroom to prevent dust and dirt from entering so that we could still continue to use that room. All surfaces were protected. Within the first few hours, the room was gutted -- they had ripped out everything, carried it outside immediately, and hauled it all away! Since we wanted the shower stall enlarged, they had to alter the adjoining walls and flooring. While framing this off and ripping out the existing shower surround, they discovered several really old leaks in the plumbing. They even found black mold in both the flooring and the walls from it! Mike's crew cut and ripped out everything in the walls and re-did the plumbing to prevent further leaks. New wood and insulation were added once everything had dried out and then the plumbing was re-tested for leaks. After that, they carefully and methodically started tiling the shower and the wainscoting, redoing all the lighting, fixing the flooring, installing the mirrors and medicine cabinet, and then setting the Jacuzzi, vanities, and commode. Afterwards, they coordinated the install of the plumbing fixtures and seamless shower door. Lastly, their crew meticulously wiped everything down and double checked that things worked properly. What I like the most about MRC Builders is that they are extremely professional, thorough, always on time, they clean up their mess, and they deliver (as a minimum) whats promised. Besides being professional and on time, Mikes crew (e.g., Carlos, Hugo, etc.) is always friendly and helpful. They treat your home like its theirs and they truly care about delivering a quality product and making you happy.

Mike seems to be a nice guy, but he is dis-organized and a poor communicator. Had bathroom work done and although he was our low bid, I should have gone with the more expensive guy. Says "it will be 3 days to complete" well on day 4 they hadn't even ordered some of the materials!, so it took 2 weeks. I expect that work will take a long time, but do not tell me 3 days and have it take 4X longer . that just tells me you don't know what you are doing. Final work was acceptable. Not brilliant, but acceptable.
