My house was repiped and I had about 30 holes in the drywall. The first contractor offered me a great deal at $1800 then damaged my floors botched the job completely and left with it unfinished because they weren't gonna make money fixing there own mistakes. (I had to threaten suing to get my money back). Second contractor offered me a good deal at $2400 then never showed up. Simple home solutions asked $3600 and initially I was hesitant. But they showed up on time every day. Were extremely professional and skilled, did a great job matching the texture even having a popcorn machine which other contractor wouldn't even be able to do. So for those that work with these guys don't worry. They are a little on the expensive side but that high price is backed up with an exceptional quality of workmanship and professionalism that is well worth the money.

Mike installed a built-in wall unit with an armoire, drawers, shelving, cabinet, and a murphy bed. He has an incredible work ethic and takes great pride in his work. He is also a bit of a perfectionist. We are thrilled with the work he has done - it has far exceeded our hopes and expectations. With this new installation we have tripled our storage space in the room and with the murphy bed it can now be an office/guest room. The queen-sized bed folds up out of the way when not in use. This will all done on-time and within budget. The price was comparable to what I've seen for pre-fab unassembled units available online, but the quality is orders of magnitude better (no particle board!) but designed to our requirements and custom fit to the room. The fit and finish is excellent. The floor, ceilings, and walls were not exactly square but that wasn't an issue for him - he was able to adjust as he went. Mike made a few suggestions as the work progressed to improve the finished look of the overall project. These were gladly accepted.

Mike made great suggestions to improve the overall layout and function of the bathroom. He built the bathroom cabinet which looks like a beautiful piece of furniture. The transformation to our bathroom is incredible. Mike also repaired-painted our hallway along with installing new hardware in our house. Mike communicated with me via e-mail as we discussed how I wanted to restructure our built-in entertainment center (wood). He was quick to reply, and we were able to agree on a date to do the work. He showed up on time, we discussed what I wanted to do, he was able to execute and cut very neat and clean, he offered his solutions and clarified any questions, he cleaned up the saw dust, and we are very happy with the work. Mike took two of our 30 year old bathrooms and brought them into the 21st century. He incorporated the same foot print, tile floor and wood cabinets while gutting, up-dating and replacing everything else. The final look is beautiful beyond our wildest expectations. We couldn't be any happier with the quality of the work, his ability to communicate, the flow of the process and the clarity by which financial decisions were made and documented. We always knew where we stood - no financial surprises just thoughtful decisions. One major surprise was that when asked, Mike had great ideas about how best to achieve the overall look I wanted. And he was always right. The process may have taken a little longer than other contractors who prided themselves on coming in and out in a short time or providing the cheapest cost, and it was worth it.
