The experience with Sheldon & Sons was middle of the road. The estimate was a fair price, and ultimately the work was fine, but there were challenges with scheduling and with actually completing the work. We were having ceilings and crown molding painted throughout the house. We only work from home two days a week, so we wanted work to at least begin on one of those two days so we could make sure everyone was on the same page for the work. This request caused a delay in scheduling and I had to follow up one or two times to get on their schedule after I had already paid my deposit. After day one, I had a couple concerns about the work being done, so I called the office to make sure day two would go smoothly since I would not be home to address the concerns directly. I was assured everything would be taken care of. Came home after day two and the issues had not been touched at all. I emailed immediately about this lack of follow through. It took a few days to get back on their calendar, and even getting that made me feel like I was more of a nuisance than a customer, because they again had problems with me wanting to have the work done while I was home. The day came for them to come back out, and somehow we fell off their schedule, so we had to wait yet another week for the completion of the project. This time the work is completed to my satisfaction, but I'm not likely to work with Sheldon & Sons again.

From the very beginning, the experience was smooth, professional, and honestly one of the best contractor experiences Ive ever had. They showed up exactly when they said they would, walked me through the process, gave me a fair and detailed estimate, and got right to work with zero hassle. The crew was polite, organized, and extremely detail-oriented. They took their time to prep everything properly covering floors, furniture, and fixtures and made sure every surface was cleaned and ready before painting. The team worked efficiently and did a meticulous job on a tricky metal roof. In addition to scraping and sanding, they did some other necessary minor prep work that I didn't have to communicate about--it just happened. And they cleaned up very thoroughly. Really pleased with both the results and the communication with Nancy in the office throughout the scheduling process.

Interviewed 3 painting companies and selected Scott Sheldon and sons. They weren't the least or most expensive, but Scott was knowledgeable and made a good impression and made his proposal competitive. We needed both interior and exterior work. Sam came with his team and they were neat and finished in a timely manner. Would highly recommend.

Time to look for a new painting company..hired to paint front awnings n sand n paint railings....painter they sent I dont believe he knew what he was doing because he n a young boy painted the awning n had to come back to repaint because of all the spots that were missed...never sanded the railings before painting them it shows.. splashed paint on my porch n had to tell the painter to clean up the mess..he had to go to Home Depot to get cleaner he didnt carry it in his van..no one from the company to inspect the work because they didn't care. I learned my lesson hope you dont have to the way I did..work was done 2 weeks ago in September, 2025.

Sheldon & Sons provided great service from the estimate to completion of painting our three story wood frame home. They were efficient and easy to work with. Their work was careful and precise. The foreman repaired a number of damaged shutters and the large garage doors. Definitely a company I would recommend and hire again.

These folks are amazing! Fast, professional, personable and obviously focused on providing the highest quality outcomes. My 21 year old kitchen cabinets look brand new again, and the other ceilings and wall repairs and painting are all so well done. We engaged this company for painting in our house the beginning of the dealing was good and we were working with Mary- who was THEN very polite and cooperative but when the time came for actual work the whole thing went downhill and we had such bad experience with their office people and the painting team who came in a big rush and finished the work but when we saw afterwards all the corners under areas were left untouched. We paid full final cost without a word said but no one called to check on if the work was satisfactory or not! Also Mary changed the agreed discounted price later on saying my boss doesnt agree to that price she agreed with, very strange then!!! Extremely disappointed. Rajiv Saxena.

I have worked with this company on several different projects from whole house painting to power washing. Their work is fantastic, and despite an issue arising the owner was not only extremely professional but did not get defensive and we were able to work out the issue easily and effectively. Working with Sheldon & Sons was a terrific experience. The estimator was extremely knowledgeable and we liked Sheldon & Sons best before we even received the estimate. The sent a color consultant to our house and that process was really amazing. We had our entire interior and exterior painted, and also had a good deal of drywall repair done. The crew was fantastic. They worked hard, were polite, friendly, and professional, and extremely skilled. If we ever need painting done again, we will use Sheldon & Sons. We highly recommend them without hesitation. It was a pleasure to work with Sheldon and Sons from start to finish. Everyone in the office and in the field went above and beyond. From the gentleman who did the pre-painting power wash to the painting crew who also hung my new shutters and house numbers, they made the exterior of my 70 yr old house look new again. Special shout out to Nancy who arranged a much needed color consultant to help me choose from the 50 different shades of white; and to Donna the consultant who patiently helped me select the perfect blend. I am so pleased with the end result!

UPDATE: Scott came out and addressed all my concerns . He was understanding and willing to come up with a solution. Just waiting to hear back for next steps. UPDATE x 2 : (01/17/2024) MARAT has restored my faith in Sheldon and Sons. All the issue I was dissatisfied with he fixed. He was very timely and made sure to address everything I noted. We walked around to make sure there wasnt anything else I wanted to be fixed. The next time I book Ill be requesting MARAT. Thank you all for fixing the issues . - Latrice
