I had edit my review to let people know that that Nugent Repairs is far from Christian. Literally everything they touched from the flooring to the ceiling is messed up. Ceiling is starting to crack after a year. The ceiling paint job has streaks all in it (painted by a teenager). Screws are popping out of the ceiling. Cabinets doors were painted several times and left outside in the weather over night. So the paint job looks like a 5 year old did it, handles are crooked, island is crooked, flooring crooked etc. My wife and I have to look at these flaws everyday and think about the headaches and horrible workmanship they done. If I could have fired him half way through the job I would have. Our kitchen and dining room were completely gutted so we didnt have a choice but to follow through. Tony could have made amends after he supposedly fired his foreman but he chose to ignore us. In my opinion he should have his contracting license revoked. Stay away!

Nugent repair and remodeling did a great job on my shower installation. I live in a 70 year old house, so they updated the plumbing and and had to adjust some walls to make everything fit. They had work lined up a few months ahead of me but got to me a week or so early. That takes knowledge and good planning. Good people!

Working with this company was so easy. The owner, Tony, is a great guy and will work with you to make sure everything goes smoothly at a very affordable price. The work crew, Bill and Mack are very easy to get along with and are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Both work very hard to make sure everything looks as good as possible. The professionalism of both really shows in the pride they take in their work.

So I'm not a wealthy man I live in a mobile home, however it's all me and my wife have and parts of our floor in our kitchen a small area has soft spots and a hole, I was told by Nugent it would be roughly $15 to $20,000 to replace all the cabinets and Floors when all i need was flooring, but because apparently the cabinets are connected everything has to be torn out and redone. I'm sorry but that sounds a little outlandish almost knowing full well we can't afford that Especially since the home isn't worth that much.

I'm looking for contractors to do a significant amount of remodeling. I explained what was needed over the phone. When Mr Nugent arrived to do estimates, he went outside with my partner. No one tried to ask me anything. They really shouldn't have needed to ask me anything since I explained what was needed over the phone. Mr Nugent told my partner some very rough numbers and said that he would get back with us. I waited 2 weeks to call them back and was told that there were no estimates done because I wasn't available for questions. I was here the whole time, no one made any indication to me that I was needed. I was told that there would be a $200 charge to come out for a second estimate. It's ridiculous to try to charge someone because you didn't do what you were asked to do the first time. Just crazy. At least they showed that they are unable to follow instructions or follow through before any money was exchanged. Mr Nugent contacted me and aggressively asked me to take down this review. My review is entirely accurate. I never ever said I don't like Christians. I don't like self-righteous Christians who use it as a cudgel to try to get their way. If a contractor says they are a Christian it's usually a red flag that they are going to rip you off. If you are a real Christian, usually there is no need to announce it as the fruit of the spirit will show through you. I wouldn't have been prompted to make a review if it wasn't for the secretary blowing me off. I've attached a copy of the exchange between myself and the secretary. I asked in good faith whether there were any numbers available. I found both of their replies rude and dismissive.

SCAM ALERT!! Give these guys a call!! If you want a nightmare experience. The worst part is Tony portrays himself as a Christian, the main reason we decided to go with him. Tony is more about how much can I swindle them out of? Lee was supposed to be the lead man on the job but he would never show up; except to carry off items that were ours - without our permission. Or tie up the homeowner with endless wild stories of his imaginary heroic deeds. Still wonder what he was really smoking. Needless to say, the whole addition is built crooked. And that's just the beginning. Tony refused to itemize anything. Not so much of a problem, until he started double charging us for items. Lee would spend lots of time asking about tiny little details. We thought he was looking out for us, until we kept getting slapped with "change orders", which then detailed items that should have been included in the original builder's quote. For example, a couple thousand for "installing lights". We were buying new lights (WE were buying them) the "original quote would have included reinstalling the old lights, but not the new lights." Also charged us for light switches and receptacles. How do you justify that much money with receptacles?? When we decided to move a couple appliances in the kitchen we were charged THOUSANDS for the cost of the "Professional Plumber and Electrician that would have to be called." The "professional" plumber turned out to be none other than ole' Lee. The Electrician WAS a professional, and he did a great job. However, Tony only paid him up to a certain amount of time. Then we were left footing the bill. I was charged to correct mistakes Lee made in his lack of attention to detail. Lee disrespected me in my own house. Our whole dining bar is crooked. Tony "forgot" some of the finish work we had agreed on. And well, since the contract was conveniently scanty, we had no leg to stand on. Tony was completely out of touch with his workers. Lee would hide Bill's tools. They were reworking constantly because they NEVER had a plan. However, Tony himself INSISTED, with a curt email out of the blue, that LEE was the head of this operation, FOREMAN. It was SUCH a clown show. Tony accused us of "trying to hire his workers on the side". Extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. It was truly a stressful time, much more so than a typical remodel and typical stress associated with it. The icing on the cake for me really was the CRAPPY finish job. Lee wasted SO much time, then suddenly wanted to be done. He came in one evening with so much left to do. He SLOPPED my very expensive drawer and cabinet pulls on. They were so crooked, every which way. They put globs of caulk to fill in missed details in my new tile backsplash. When we demanded they fix our handles, (they tried to say the handles were crooked because the house was old and off balance) they simply wallowed out the door/drawer facings. Now I currently have handles falling off, some still crooked. The cabinet paint job looks like slop. We paid them their last payment because we were desperate for them to leave our house and for the nightmare to end. I have heard that there were multiples of customers who had similar experiences, but I suppose no one likes to blow the whistle. This is an honest review that I have held off writing, because I do not like to speak about negativity. BUT, neither do we want any innocent person to suffer like I did. As the quote goes, the only thing needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do (or say) nothing. After giving Tony ample time to make amends, they have made the decision to ghost us. We will let them go on their arrogant, disrespectful, unconcerned way. We have had two different contractors at our house since the Tony Escapade, and they both were an absolute dream after the nightmare we endured. We left both of them glowing reviews. If this review is glowing, it is with rage for the injustices suffered. SO, you've been warned. What should have cost us in total $40-$50K ended up costing around $70K.

Cant even begin to tell you the fantastic work Tony and his team did on inserting our french doors and updating our house. He jumped to help when the french doors were busted out, and did it at a great price. The updates he did to our house have been beyond perfect. Definetly recommend Nugent Repairs and Remodeling!
